Roy Franklin Thompson, 82, passed away August 17, 2023 in his home with his family by his side.
He was born January 24,1941 in Chippewa Kinross Township, MI. He was the son of late Elmer and Josephine (Howes) Thompson.
Roy was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Clifton Thompson in July 1960, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by one brother, Lee Thompson of Rudyard, MI. Also 5 daughters, Sherrie and spouse Jim Davidson of Kirksville, MO, Patricia and spouse David Blankenship of Galena, MO, Barbara Thompson of Willow Creek, CA, Tina and spouse Kelvin Hoffman of Atlanta, MO, and Suzan Thompson of Salyer, CA. He has 17 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Roy’s wish was to be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Kirksville, MO.
