NATIONAL LEAGUE
CINCINNATI 2 – Milwaukee 0… Andrew Abbott (1-0) pitched one-hit ball over six innings in his major league debut and three Reds relievers completed the shutout of the Brewers. Stuart Fairchild homered to lead off the bottom of the third inning and Tyler Stephenson went deep in the fourth for Cincinnati.

SAN DIEGO 5 – Chi. Cubs 0… Padres starter Blake Snell (2-6) limited the Cubs to two hits over six innings and got help from three relievers in the blanking of the Cubs. Gary Sanchez’s two-run homer in the bottom of the third inning provided all the offense San Diego needed.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
Tampa BAY 4 – BOSTON 1… Shane McClanahan (9-1) held the Red Sox to a run on five hits over six innings and the Rays cruised to the win. Manuel Margot and Francisco Mejia stroked run-scoring singles during a three-run top of the fifth inning.

Houston 11 – TORONTO 4… Corey Julks unloaded a grand slam to cap a six-run top of the first inning and the Astros never looked back in their pounding of the Blue Jays. Wil Meyers homered with a runner aboard and Houston got solo blasts from Yordan Alvarez and Kyle Tucker.

INTERLEAGUE
PHILADELPHIA 8 – Detroit 3… Aaron Nola (5-4) took a no-hitter into the seventh inning and got plenty of support in the Phillies’ win over the Tigers. Trea Turner homered twice and knocked in three runs. J.T. Realmuto contributed a two-run double.

MIAMI 9 – Kansas City 6… The Marlins erased a 4-0 third-inning deficit on their way past the Royals. Jon Berti tied the game with a two-run triple in the bottom of the fourth inning and scored the go-ahead run on Jonathan Davis’ double. Bryan De La Cruz added a two-run homer.

PITTSBURGH 5 – Oakland 4… Andrew McCutchen’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the eighth inning scored Ji Hwan Bae with a tie-breaking run and the Pirates held on to hand the Athletics their 15th straight road loss. Pittsburgh used a pair of bases-loaded walks and a double-play sacrifice bunt to score three times in the sixth and erase a two-run deficit.

TEXAS 4 – St. Louis 3… Nathaniel Lowe’s single in the bottom of the ninth inning scored Marcus Semien and gave the Rangers a walk-off win over the Cardinals. Semien singled home a run in the second and extended his hitting streak to 24 games.
