NATIONAL LEAGUE
N.Y. METS 4 – Philadelphia 2… The Mets overcame an early two-run defiicit to down the Phillies. Mark Canha slugged a go-ahead two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth inning. Max Scherzer (5-2) allowed a run on five hits over seven innings.

San Diego 10 – MIAMI 1… Joe Musgrove (3-2) took a ho-hitter into the sixth inning and got plenty of support in the Padres’ pounding of the Marlins. Fernando Tatis Jr. went 3-for-4 with a pair of two-run doubles. Gary Sanchez hit a solo homer and singled home two runs.

ARIZONA 5 – Colorado 4… Corbin Carroll’s two-run double in the bottom of the ninth inning gave the Diamondbacks a walkoff win over the Rockies.Lourdes Gurril Jr. stroked a two-run double and Ketel Marte singled home a run for Arizona.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
MINNESOTA 7 – Cleveland 6… The Twins rallied from three runs down after seven innings to upend the Guardians. Willi Castro lifted a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth inning to score Ryan Jeffers with the winning run. Royce Lewis blasted a three-run homer in the eighth. Michael Taylor also went deep.

HOUSTON 5 – L.A. Angels 2… Alex Bregman delivered a tie-breaking two-run single in the bottom of the fifth inning to help push the Astros past the Angels. Jose Abreu lifted a sacrifice fly and doubled home a run. Ronel Blanco (1-0) allowed two runs on seven hits over 5-1/3 innings.

INTERLEAGUE
TORONTO 3 – Milwaukee 1… Kevin Gausman (5-2) limited the Brewers to five hits and struck out 11 over 6-2/3 scoreless innings as the Blue Jays eased their way to a win. Bo Bichette homered with the bases empty and Matt Chapman added a two-run shot as Toronto scored all three runs in the bottom of the first inning.

BOSTON 8 – Cincinnati 2… Rafael Devers’ tie-breaking run-scoring double sparked a six-run bottom of the eighth inning that carried the Red Sox past the Reds. Connor Wong capped the big inning with a two-run homer. Enrique Hernandez homered and singled home two runs for Boston.
