NATIONAL LEAGUE
ARIZONA 7 – Colorado 5… The Diamondbacks overcame an early 4-0 deficit to upend the Rockies. Pavin Smith belted a go-ahead three-run homer to cap a five-run bottom of the second inning. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. added a solo shot.

SAN FRANCISCO 14 – Pittsburgh 4… Austin Slater and Patrick Bailey both hit two-run homers and two-run doubles in the Giants’ dismantling of the Pirates. Mitch Hanigar and Casey Schmitt went 3-for-5 with two RBIs.

L.A. DODGERS 6 – Washington 1… Freddie Freeman lined a two-run double and J.D. Martinez belted a three-run homer as the Dodgers scored all six runs in the bottom of the fifth inning on their way past the Nationals. Bobby Miller (2-0) allowed just a run on four hits over six innings.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
Cleveland 5 – BALTIMORE 0… Logan Allen (2-2) pitched three-hit ball and struck out 10 over seven innings before two Guardians relievers completed the shutout of the Orioles. Cam Gallagher had a couple of hits and drove in two runs.

Texas 5 – DETROIT 0… Nathan Eovaldi (7-2) limited the Tigers to four hits over five innings and got help from four relievers in the shutout win. Corey Seager provided all the offense the Rangers needed with a three-run homer and an RBI single.

Minnesota 7 – HOUSTON 5 (10 innings)… The Twins recovered to outlast the Astros after blowing a four-run lead. Ryan Jeffers connected for a two-run homer in the top of the 10th inning. Royce Lewis belted a three-run homer in the third and delivered a game-tying RBI single in the ninth.

L.A. Angels 6 – CHI. WHITE SOX 4… Brandon Drury slugged a three-run homer and Matt Thaiss followed with a solo shot in the bottom of the first inning but the Angels needed a two-run eighth to get past the White Sox. Mike Trout had a couple of hits, including an RBI infield single.

N.Y. Yankees 10 – SEATTLE 4… Aaron Judge went 3-for-4 with a pair of homers, three RBIs and three runs scored to lead the Yankees in their drubbing of the Mariners. Jake Bauer had three hits, including a solo homer and an RBI double. Isiah Kiner-Falefa and Willie Calhoun contributed two-run doubles.

INTERLEAGUE
Kansas City 7 – ST. LOUIS 0… Reliever Mike Mayers relieved starter Josh Staumont after the first inning and carried a combined perfect game into the eighth before turning it over to two Royals relievers in the blanking of the Cardinals. Michael Massey hit a two-run homer. Bobby Witt Jr. added a solo shot. Vinnie Pasquantino knocked in two runs with a single and a double.

CHI. CUBS 1 – Tampa Bay 0… Marcus Stroman (5-4) tossed a complete-game one-hitter and the Cubs squeaked past the Rays. Mike Tauchman’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the fourth inning scored Seiya Suzuki with the game’s only run.

OAKLAND 7 – Atlanta 2… The Athletics pounded the Braves to snap their 11-game skid. Ryan Noda blasted a tie-breaking three-run homer to cap a four-run bottom of the fifth inning. Esteury Ruiz went 2-for-3 with a run-scoring single.
