MLB Scores Monday 5-15

NATIONAL LEAGUE
WASHINGTON 10 – N.Y. Mets 3… Joey Meneses went 4-for-5 and knocked in four runs to lead the Nationals in their thrashing of the Mets. Lane Thomas had three hits and scored three runs. Patrick Corbin (2-5) allowed two runs on eight hits over six innings.

ST. LOUIS 18 – Milwaukee 1… Nolan Gorman hit a three-run homer and doubled home two runs in the Cardinals’ dismantling of the Brewers. Nolan Arenado got things going with a three-run homer in the bottom of the first inning and added a sacrifice fly. Andrew Knizner’s grand slam capped the scoring in the eighth.

COLORADO 9 – Cincinnati 8… Brenton Doyle homered twice and knocked in three runs as the Rockies held off the Reds. Mike Moustakas also went deep. Harold Castro went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs.

SAN FRANCISCO 6 – Philadelphia 3… Michael Conforto blasted a go-ahead three-run homer as the Giants scored all six runs in the bottom of the second inning on their way to doubling up on the Phillies.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
L.A. Angels 9 – BALTIMORE 5… Shohei Ohtani (5-1) pitched seven innings and helped himself at the plate with a three-run homer in the Angels’ win over the Orioles. Chad Wallach added a solo shot. Gio Urshela stroked a two-run double.

N.Y. Yankees 7 – TORONTO 4… Aaron Judge connected for a pair of homers and knocked in three runs to power the Yankees past the Blue Jays. Willie Calhoun homered with a runner aboard.

Seattle 10 – BOSTON 1… Cal Raleigh homered from both sides of the plate and drove in four runs to highlight the Marlins’ thrashing of the Red Sox. Eduardo Suarez homered with a runner aboard. George Kirby (5-2) allowed a run on eight hits over 6-2/3 innings.

INTERLEAGUE
Atlanta 12 – TEXAS 0… Kevin Pilar and Ronald Acuña Jr. hit two-run homers in the top of the second inning and the Braves never looked back in their drubbing of the Rangers. Austin Riley, Marcell Ozuna and Orlando Arcia also homered with a runner aboard. Charlie Martin (5-3) scattered seven hits and struck out 10 over 6-2/3 innings. Reliever Danny Young completed the shutout.

HOUSTON 6 – Chi. Cubs 4… The Astros recovered to down the Cubs after blowing an early four-run lead. Alex Bregman cracked a tie-breaking two-run homer in the  bottom of the seventh inning. Jose Abreu’s two-run double sparked a four-run first.

Arizona 5 – OAKLAND 2… Geraldo Perdomo smacked a two-run homer in the top of the second inning and Loures Gurriel Jr. added a two-run shot in the third as the Diamondbacks handled the Athletics. Merrill Kelly (4-3) gave up a run on four hits over seven innings.

SAN DIEGO 4 – Kansas City 0… Michael Wacha (4-1) tossed seven no-hit innings and fanned 11 before Padres reliever Nick Martinez completed the blanking of the Royals. Fernando Tatis Jr. had a couple of hits and drove in a run for San Diego.

L.A. DODGERS 9 – Minnesota 8 (12 innings)… The Dodgers outlasted the Twins after letting multiple leads slip away. Trayce Thompson drew a bases-loaded walk to force home Chris Taylor with the winning run in the bottom of the 12th innning. Max Muncy homered twice and knocked in three runs. Will Smith homered with a runner aboard.
