ST. LOUIS 4 – Philadelphia 2… The Blues took a three-goal lead into the third period and held off the Flyers. Justin Faulk had a goal and an assist. Goalie Jordan Binnington stopped 32 shots.
CAROLINA 3 – Ottawa 2 (OT)… The Hurricanes recovered to outlast the Senators after blowing a two-goal second-period lead. Martin Necas found the net at 4:19 of overtime. Jesperi Kotkaniemi and Brady Skjei scored first-period goals.
FLORIDA 2 – Buffalo 1… Matthew Tkachuk scored a tie-breaking goal 59 seconds into the third period and the Panthers made it stand in their win over the Sabres. Aaron Ekblad tied the game with a first-period power-play goal. Goalie Alex Lyon made 39 saves.
Detroit 5 – MONTREAL 0… Red Wings goalie Vile Husso stopped all 24 shots in the shutout of the Canadiens. David Peron scored two goals and assisted on another.
NEW JERSEY 5 – Pittsburgh 1… Dawson Mercer scored in each period to record his first NHL hat trick and the Devils skated past the Penguins. Vitek Vanecek made 22 saves at goal.
TORONTO 4 – Columbus 2… Zach Aston-Reese found the net twice to lead the Maple Leafs past the Blue Jackets. Alexander Kerfoot and Auston Matthews also scored for Toronto.
NASHVILLE 3 – Vegas 2 (OT)… The Predators kept their playoff hopes alive by outlasting the Golden Knights. Cody Glass scored the game-winner on a power play with 1:30 remaining in overtime. Tommy Novak scored twice in the first period to give Nashville a two-goal lead that it couldn’t hold.
Chicago 4 – CALGARY 2… Andreas Athanasiou found the net twice and the Blackhawks downed the Flames to snap their eight-game skid. Jujhar Khaira and Austin Wagner also scored for Chicago.
Seattle 5 – VANCOUVER 2… The Kraken skated past the Canucks after spotting them an early two-goal lead. Jordan Eberle scored a tie-breaking goal in the second period and had an assist.
Edmonton 3 – LOS ANGELES 1… Leon Draisaitl netted a go-ahead power-play goal in the third period and Darnell Nurse added an empty-netter to send the Oilers past the Kings. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored a first-period goal and had an assist.
Colorado 4 – SAN JOSE 3 (OT)… The Avalanche outlasted the Sharks after letting a two-goal third-period lead slip away. Nathan Mackinnon’s second goal of the game won it at 3:13 of overtime. Mikko Rantanen set up two goals.
