St. Louis 4 – DETROIT 3… The Blues overcame an early two-goal deficit to top the Red Wings. Alexey Toropcheko scored the first of four straight goals midway through the first period. Robert Bertuzzo assisted on two goals.
PHILADELPHIA 5 – Minnesota 4 (SO)… James van Riemsdyk scored the lone goal in the shootout to send the Flyers past the Wild and give coach John Tortorella his 700th career victory. Tyson Foerster scored a tying goal with 5:43 left in regulation.
BOSTON 4 – Montreal 2… The Bruins doubled up on the Canadiens for their sixth straight win. Tyler Bertuzzi had a goal and an assist. David Pastrnak netted his 49th goal.
N.Y. Rangers 2 – CAROLINA 1… The Rangers eased past the Hurricanes after spotting them an early goal. Artemi Panarin scored a tying goal midway through the second period and Adam Fox added the decisive goal early in the third. Goalie Igor Shesterkin make 29 saves.
Toronto 6 – FLORIDA 2… Auston Matthews netted two goals and the Maple Leafs skated past the Panthers. John Tavares set up three goals. Mitchell Marner scored for the fourth straight game. Matt Murray stopped 33 shots at goal.
OTTAWA 7 – Tampa Bay 2… Alex DeBrincat scored two goals and assisted on another as the Senators cruised past the Lightning. Brady Tkachuk also scored twice for Ottawa.
WASHINGTON 6 – Chicago 1… The Capitals breezed past the Blackhawks to snap a three-game skid. Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom each had a goal and an assist. Dylan Strome set up two goals. Goalie Darcy Kuemper made 27 saves.
NASHVILLE 2 – Seattle 1… Matt Duchene and Philip Tomasino scored in the shootout to push the Predators past the Kraken. Kiefer Sherwood netted a tying goal in the second period.
Vegas 3 – CALGARY 2… Nicolas Roy’s third-period goal proved to be the difference as the Golden Knights held off the Flames. Jonathan Marchessault and Michael Amadio scored in the second period. Goalie Logan Thompson stopped 37 shots before leaving with a lower-body injury.
DALLAS 3 – Pittsburgh 2… Third-period goals by Joe Pavelski and Jamie Benn carried the Stars past the Penguins. Roope Hintz opened the scoring in the first. Jake Oettinger made 40 saves at goal.
Winnipeg 3 – ANAHEIM 2… Adam Lowry scored a tie-breaking goal midway through the third period and the Jets made it stand in edging the Ducks. Mason Appleton and Kyle Connor also scored for Winnipeg.
VANCOUVER 7 – San Jose 2… The Canucks scored three first-period goals and never looked back in handing the Sharks their eighth straight loss. Andrei Kuzmenko scored his 35th goal and had an assist. Conor Garland, J.T. Miller, Phillip Di Giuseppe and Dakota Joshua also had a goal and an assist.
