CAROLINA 5 – Winnipeg 3… Jesperi Kotkaniemi scored two goals and assisted on another in leading the Hurricanes past the Jets. Brady Skjei had a goal and an assist.

N.Y. RANGERS 5 – Washington 3… Mika Zibanejad found the net twice during a three-goal first period and the Rangers skated past the short-handed Capitals. Patrick Kane added a goal and an assist.

Tampa Bay 4 – NEW JERSEY 1… The Lightning breezed past the Devils after spotting them an early goal. Brandon Hagel had a goal and two assists. Andrei Vasilevskiy made 22 saves at goal.

Vegas 5 – PHILADELPHIA 3… Ivan Barbashev netted a pair of goals as the Golden Knights held off the Flyers. Jonathan Marchessault had a goal and two assists.

Montreal 6 – PITTSBURGH 4… The Canadiens scored four straight goals in the first period to overcome an early two-goal deficit and then needed third-period goals from Anthony Richard and Josh Anderson to put away the Penguins. Joel Edmundson had a goal and an assist. Jonathan Drouin and Justin Barron each had two assists.

NASHVILLE 2 – Detroit 1… Tommy Novak’s goal early in the third period proved to be decisive in the Predators’ win over the Red Wings. Kiefer Sherwood opened the scoring midway through the second period. Goalie Juuse Saros made 28 saves.

CHICAGO 6 – Boston 3… The Blackhawks closed with four straight goals in the third period to upend the Bruins. Taylor Raddysh scored three times during the uprising. Boris Katchouk had a goal and two assists.

EDMONTON 6 – Ottawa 3… The Oilers scored three unanswered goals in the second period to break a tie and bury the Senators. Leon Draisaitl netted two goals. Warren Foegele had two assists.

VANCOUVER 5 – Dallas 2… Back-to-back goals by Philip Di Giuseppe and Andrei Kuzmenko gave the Canucks an early two-goal lead and they cruised past the Stars. J.T. Miller had a goal and an assist. Brock Boeser assisted on three goals.

ARIZONA 4 – Calgary 3 (OT)… Travis Boyd’s goal at 3:10 of overtime gave the Coyotes a hard-fought win over the Flames. Clayton Keller scored twice in regulation. Barrett Hayton set up two goals.

LOS ANGELES 5 – N.Y. Islanders 2… The Kings scored twice on the power play during a four-goal second period that carried them past the Islanders. Vladislav Gavrikov had two assists.

Columbus 6 – SAN JOSE 5 (OT)… The Blue Jackets outlasted the Sharks after letting a two-goal third-period lead slip away. Johnny Gaudreau netted his second goal with 43 seconds left in overtime to win it. Gaudreau also assisted on three goals. Boone Jenner scored twice in the second period.
