Lenore “KATIE” Blue Daily, age 88, a resident of Cincinnati, Iowa went home to be with God on March 2nd, 2023 in Shawnee, Ok with her family.
Katie was born on April 25th, 1934 in Rural Coatsville, Missouri to Guy and Winnie “Veach” Blue. She grew up attending Beatty grade school, and graduated from Livonia High School in Livonia, Missouri with the Class of 1952. She kept in touch with many high school friends throughout the years, having a yearly school luncheon before moving to Oklahoma at the age of 83 to be closer to her sons.
Katie married her husband Don Daily on May 16th, 1953, moving to Cincinnati, Iowa where she lived for more than 60 years, raising dogs, chickens, horses and two boys, Donnie and Ricky. Her days were filled with raising AKC dogs for over 40 years, ballgames, FFA, county fairs, and parades, such as Pancake Day in Centerville, where she rode her horses and donkeys or drove her beloved 57 Chevy. Katie enjoyed showing her 57 Chevy, as well as her husband’s where she won many awards for over 24 years, traveling throughout Missouri and Iowa. She enjoyed watching Nascar, betting her boys on sporting events as well as horse derbies. She would never bet more than a quarter, she won quite often and posted the money that was sent by mail on their pictures on her living room wall. Katie was the secretary to her husband’s trucking business until he became ill on Nov. 15th, 1999, and she lost her beloved husband, Don Daily.
Left to cherish Katie’s memory are her two sons, Don and wife Laura of Macomb, Ok and Rick and wife Gina of Harrah, Ok; grandchildren, Danica Daily and family, Iowa, Dj Daily and family, Dustin Daily andwife Stephanie and their four daughters Paitynn, Alayna, Mckenna, and Rilynn of Macomb, Ok, Destiny Jones and husband Dvonte and their two children, Myla, and Azaiah of Dallas Tx, Dakota Seales and husband Blake, and their baby Seales will be coming soon of Macomb,OK; her sister Jackie and husband, Aaron Chrisman of Greentop, MO and their children, Ron & wife Mary, Kevin & wife Beth and their families; as well as nieces and nephews, Jim, Mike & wife Christy, Pam, Chuck & wife Penny, Donna Sue, Ken(Jimmy) and Butch, and many other great nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Katie was preceded in death by her husband, Don; parents, Guy and Winnie Veach Blue; sister, Elaine & husband Tom; brother, Basil & wife Melba; brother, Ken & wife Junko; and her niece, Debbie Chrisman.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM, Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Thomas Funeral Home in Centerville with Pastor Kay Singley officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Cemetery in Graysville, Missouri.
