Lady Tigers Ride Big Second Half To Victory

The Kirksville Lady Tigers opened with an 8-0 lead and rode a strong second half on their way to a 45-29 win over Fulton Friday on the road. Fulton outscored KHS 13-6 in the 2nd quarter to take a 13-12 lead in to the locker room. The Lady Tigers then came up big in the 3rd quarter outscoring Fulton 21-8 to take a 34-21 lead, then coasted to a 45-29 victory. Elli Porter finished with 19 points, 15 of those in the 2nd half, and went 8 out of 9 at the free throw line, all in the second half. Channing Totta drained three 3-pointers in the 3rd and finished with 9 points. KHS gets to 11-11 on the year, 5-4 in the NCMC. Next for the girls it’s a road trip to Monroe City Monday night.
