NBA SCOREBOARD…
CLEVELAND 113 – Detroit 85… The Cavaliers cruised past the Pistons despite resting starting guards Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland. Jarret Allen had game-highs with 20 points and 14 rebounds.

WASHINGTON 118 – Charlotte 104… The Wizards spurted past the Hornets in a contest that was tied at halftime. Kristaps Porzingis made eight 3-pointers on his way to 36 points. Deni Avdija had 20 points and 13 rebounds.

BOSTON 106 – Philadelphia 99… Derrick White and Malcolm Brogdon scored 19 points apiece as the short-handed Celtics held off the 76ers. Four other players scored in double figures for Boston, which played without the injured Marcus Smart, Robert Williams III and Al Horford before losing Jaylen Brown in the first half with a facial contusion.

MIAMI 116 – Indiana 111… Bam Adebayo made a pair of game-sealing free throws at the end and finished with 38 points in leading the Heat past the Pistons. Jimmy Butler pitched in 25 points as all five starters scored in double figures.

TORONTO 112 – San Antonio 98… The Raptors pulled away in the second half to hand the Spurs their 10th straight loss. Pascal Siakam scored 37 points and grabbed 10 boards. Chris Boucher delivered 18 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.

Sacramento 130 – HOUSTON 128… De’Aaron Fox knocked down three free throws with a tenth of a second remaining to give the Kings a hard-fought win over the Rockets. Fox led Sacramento with 31 points and 11 assists. Domantas Sabonis added 22 points. Jalen Green’s 41 points weren’t enough for Houston.

Minnesota 143 – UTAH 118… The Timberwolves made 23 of 42 3-point attempts in their dismantling of the Jazz. The got 31 points from Anthony Edwards and 30 from Jaylen Nowell. Luka Garza came off the bench to contribute 25 points.

Dallas 110 – L.A. CLIPPERS 104… The Mavericks jumped out to a 16-point lead after the first quarter and hung on to top the Clippers. Kyrie Irving scored 24 points in his Dallas debut. Reggie Bullock knocked down six 3-pointers and finished with 18 points.

PORTLAND 125 – Golden State 122… The Trail Blazers were too much down the stretch in fighting off the Warriors. Damian Lillard piled up 33 points, 10 boards and 11 assists. Jerami Grant tossed in 22 points.
