Truman State Women’s basketball lost their third conference game of the season to University of Indianapolis 75-72.
The Bulldogs were up six at the end of the first quarter, but were outscored in 24-15 in the second to go into the half down 35-32.
The second half was completely even, with each team scoring 26 points in the third and 14 in the fourth to give UIndy the victory.
Both teams had a nearly identical shooting performance, with Truman shooting 43.3% and UIndy shooting 43.5%.
Hannah Belanger led all scoring with 25 points on 10-18 shooting from the field. She made three 3-pointers and grabbed four rebounds.
Alex Fanning was a rebound away from a double-double, scoring 24 points along with nine rebounds. She also recorded five assists.
Ellie Weltha scored double-digit points as well, scoring 12 with five rebounds and three assists.
The Bulldogs are now 15-7 and 11-3 in GLVC play.
Truman plays at McKendree on Saturday, February 4th, at 1 p.m.
