The Kirksville Tigers overcame a sluggish start and exploded in the third quarter on their way to a 60-45 win over Hannibal on the road Friday. Hannibal led by one at halftime, 24-23. Then they went on the offensive in the third quarter, always the Tiger’s best quarter of the game anyway, outscoring Hannibal 20-2 in the 3rd. Isaac Danielson scored 12 of his 15 points in the period, and KHS held the Pirates without a basket in the quarter. Keaton Anderson contributed 14 points, Cole Kelly splashed home a three-pointer in each quarter to finish with 12 points. KHS climbs to 12-5 on the year, 5-2 in the NCMC. Next, the Tigers put in some miles Tuesday and Wednesday at the Southern Boone Tournament, taking on Boonville Tuesday at 8:30 on KIRX.
