The Hannibal Lady Pirates took a 17-0 lead to start the game and went on to beat the Kirksville Lady Tigers 49-31 Friday in Hannibal. KHS didn’t score their first points until 6:40 to play in the second with a bucket by Lauren Fortney. Channing Totta scored 9 points in the fourth quarter to make it interesting, but Hannibal took too big of an early lead. Totta finished with 19 points on the night to lead all scorers. Kirksville drops to 8-9 on the year, 4-3 in the NCMC. Kirksville will have to shake it off quickly as they head to Ashland Tuesday and Wednesday for the Southern Boone Tournament. KHS opens up against Capital City Tuesday at 7:00 on KIRX.
