OTTAWA 2 – N.Y. Islanders 1… Claude Giroux’s power-play goal in the second period proved to be the difference as the Senators held off the Islanders. Giroux also assisted on Shane Pinto’s first-period goal.
TORONTO 3 – N.Y. Rangers 2 (OT)… Mitch Marner found the net 19 seconds into overtime to give the Maple Leafs a come-from-behind win over the Rangers. Timothy Liljegren tied the game with a third-period goal. Pontus Holmberg opened the scoring with a first-period goal.
Carolina 3 – DALLAS 2 (OT)… Martin Necas scored at 1:34 of overtime to send the Hurricanes past the Stars. Sebastian Aho and Brent Burns also found the net for Carolina.
Columbus 3 – EDMONTON 2 (OT)… Kent Johnson’s goal at 2:29 of overtime gave the Blue Jackets a hard-fought win over the Oilers. Kirill Marchenko netted a tying goal in the second period. Goalie Joonas Korpisalo made 34 saves.
SEATTLE 6 – Vancouver 1… Oliver Bjorkstrand netted two goals and the Kraken breezed past the Canucks. Jared McCann had a goal and two assists. Jordan Eberle and Yanni Gourde each had two assists.
