Tigers Cruise To Tournament Semis

The Kirksville Tigers made quick work of the Knox Co. Eagles 71-31 in the first round of the Highland Tournament Thursday. KHS controlled from start to finish and to add to the good news, Drew Chrisman played for the first time this season after nursing a broken collarbone. Chrisman didn’t start, but came off the bench in a limited fashion and buried a three pointer in the fourth quarter to get his feet wet. Speaking of three’s, Isaac Danielson hit five of them on his way to 29 points to lead all scorers. He also hit six out of six free throws. The next closest Tiger was Camden Dempsay who scored 8 points. KHS get to 7-3 on the year and move on to the tournament semifinals Thursday at 7:30 against third seed Palmyra. Coverage on KIRX around 7:15.
