The Kirksville Tigers ran into an athletic Webb City team and dropped their first game of the 12 Courts Of Christmas in Kansas City Thursday 60-47. It was a back and forth contest with Webb City leading 15-11 at the end of the first, KHS took a one point lead into the locker room 25-24, battled to a 42-42 tie at the end of three, then Webb City played nearly flawlessly in the fourth, outscoring the Tigers 18-5 on their way to the 60-47 victory. Too many turnovers doomed the Tigers as they gave it up 16 times while the Cardinals capitalized on nearly every one. Isaac Danielson led the way for the Tigers with 17 points, 12 for Cole Kelly. Webb City had four players in double figures, led by Barron Duda with 22 points. KHS drops to 5-3 on the season and will next take on powerhouse Hogan Prep who came in rated #4 in the latest rankings. Coverage on KIRX at 5:45.
