St. Louis 5 – VANCOUVER 1… Jordan Kyrou scored two third-period goals to finish off a hat trick and the Blues skated past the Canucks. Kyrou also had an assist. Robert Thomas scored a goal and assisted on another. Vladimir Tarasenko set up three goals.
BOSTON 7 – Florida 3… Patrice Bergeron scored two goals and assisted on two others in leading the Bruins to a rout of the Panthers. Brandon Carlo had a goal and an assist. Brad Marchand set up three goals.
Dallas 2 – COLUMBUS 1… Jason Robertson’s empty-netter with 1:07 proved to be decisive in the Stars’ win over the Blue Jackets. Wyatt Johnston opened the scoring 55 seconds into the contest. Goalie Jake Oettinger made 27 saves and came within 15 seconds of a shutout.
WASHINGTON 4 – Detroit 3 (OT)… The Capitals came from two goals down late in the second period to outlast the Red Wings. Dmitry Orlov netted the winning goal at 4:38 of overtime. Nic Dowd scored two second-period goals. Erik Gustafsson’s added a tying goal in the third.
NASHVILLE 4 – Edmonton 3 (OT)… Alexandre Carrier’s goal at 2:12 of overtime gave the Predators a hard-fought win over the Oilers. Jordan Gross and Matt Duchene scored second-period goals. Mattias Ekholm broke a scoreless tie early in the first period.
COLORADO 1 – N.Y. Islanders 0 (SO)… Evan Rodrigues scored the lone goal in the shootout to send the Avalanche past the Islanders. Goalie Alexandar Georgiev stopped all 26 shots in regulation and two more in the tie-breaker.
Montreal 3 – ARIZONA 2 (OT)… Mike Hoffman lit the lamp at 3:52 of overtime to win it for the Canadiens. Cole Caufield and Christian Dvorak scored second-period goals. The Coyotes responded with two goals of their own.
Buffalo 3 – VEGAS 2… The Sabres scored all three goals in the second period to take a three-goal lead and held off the Golden Knights. Jeff Skinner, Tage Thompson and Lawrence Pilut found the net. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen made 41 saves at goal.
