NFL Scores Sunday 12-18

NFL SCOREBOARD…
Philadelphia 25 – CHICAGO 20… Jalen Hurts ran for three touchdowns and passed for 315 yards in leading the Eagles (13-1) past the Bears (3-11). His 13 rushing touchdowns are one short of the NFL record for a QB, set by Cam Newton in 2011. A.J. Brown had nine receptions for 181 yards. DeVonta Smith had five catches for 126 yards. Chicago’s Justin Fields rushed for 95 yards to join Michael Vick and Lamar Jackson as the only quarterbacks to rush for at least 1,000 in a season.

NEW ORLEANS 21 – Atlanta 18… Andy Dalton threw a pair of touchdowns and Taysom Hill threw another as the Saints (5-9) topped the Falcons (5-9). Safety Justin Evans forced a fumble and cornerback Bradley Robey recovered it in the final minutes to preserve the win.

Detroit 20 – N.Y. JETS 17… Jared Goff as Brock Wright connected a go-ahead 51-yard touchdown pass on fourth-and-1 with 1:49 remaining and the Lions (7-7) hung on to down the Jets (7-7). Goff was 23-of-38 for 252 yards passing. Kalif Raymond opened the scoring with 47-yard punt return for a first-quarter score.

Pittsburgh 24 – CAROLINA 16… The Steelers (6-8) put together three long touchdown drives to overpower the Panthers (5-9) for their third win in four games. Mitch Trubisky,, Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren scored on short TD runs.

JACKSONVILLE 40 – Dallas 34 (OT)… The Jaguars (6-8) came from 17 points down to outlast the Cowboys (10-4). Rayshawn Jenkins intercepted a Dak Prescott bobbled pass and returned it 52 yards for a touchdown in overtime. The victory broke Jacksonville’s 20-game skid against NFC teams and ended Dallas’ five-game winning streak. Trevor Lawrence threw for 318 yards and four touchdowns. Zay Jones had six receptions for 106 yards and three TDs. Travis Etienne rushed for 103 yards.

Kansas City 30 – HOUSTON 24 (OT)… Jerick McKinnon ran 26 yards for the game-winning touchdown in overtime as the Chiefs (11-3) fought off the Texans (1-12-1) and clinched their seventh straight AFC West title. McKinnon also had a 20-yard scoring reception. Patrick Mahomes passed for 336 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran 5 yards for a TD.

DENVER 24 – Arizona 15… The Broncos (4-10) grinded out a win over the Cardinals (4-10) in a contest between teams left with backup quarterbacks. Brett Rypien overcame seven sacks to direct three second-half scoring drives and help snap its five-game skid. Latavius Murray ran for 130 yards and a touchdown.

LAS VEGAS 30 – New England 24… The Raiders (6-8) scored two touchdowns in the game’s final 32 seconds to stun the Patriots (7-7). Defensive end Chandler Jones grabbed a lateral by New England’s Jakobi Meyers and returned it 48 yards for a touchdown in the game’s final play. Derek Carr completed 20 of 38 passes for 231 yards and three touchdowns.

L.A. CHARGERS 17 – Tennessee 14… Cameron Dicker’s 43-yard field goal with 4 seconds remaining lifted the Chargers (8-6) over the Titans (7-7). The winning drive spanned 52 yards in six plays over 44 seconds. Justin Herbert completed 28 of 42 passes for 313 yards. Joshua Kelly and Austin Ekeler scored on short touchdown runs for L.A.

Cincinnati 34 – TAMPA BAY 23… The Bengals (10-4) came from 17 points down to upend the Buccaneers (6-8) for their sixth straight win. Joe Burrow threw touchdown passes to four different receivers in the second half. He was 27-of-39 for 200 yards on the day.

N.Y. Giants 20 – WASHINGTON 12… The Giants (8-5-1) fought off the Commanders (7-6-1) in a matchup of teams competing for the final NFC wild-card spot. Linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux recovered his own strip-sack for a touchdown and Saquon Barkley ran 3 yards for score in the second quarter. An illegal procedure penalty against Washington negated a Brian Robinson Jr. touchdown run and possible game-tying 2-point conversion with a minute remaining.
