OTTAWA 3 – Montreal 2… The Senators scored all three goals in the second period and held on in the third to edge the Canadiens. Shane Pinto, Drake Batherson and Brady Tkachuk found the net. Alex DeBrincat assisted on all three goals.
MINNESOTA 4 – Detroit 1… Frederick Gaudreau opened the scoring with a first-period goal and added an empty-netter as the Wild skated past the Red Wings. Matt Dumba and Mats Zuccarello scored second-period goals for Minnesota.
Vancouver 4 – CALGARY 3 (SO)… Andrei Kuzmenko netted the lone goal in the shootout to send the Canucks past the Flames. Bo Horvat and Conor Garland scored 34 seconds apart early in the first period to give Vancouver an early two-goal lead. Sheldon Dries netted a tying goal early in the second.
