Colorado 3 – ST. LOUIS 2 (OT)… Mikko Rantanen scored his second goal of the game with 9 seconds left in regulation and found the net again 29 seconds into overtime to carry the Avalanche past the Blues. Pavel Francouz made 30 saves at goal.
COLUMBUS 6 – Los Angeles 5 (OT)… The Blue Jackets recovered to outlast the Kings after blowing a two-goal third-period lead. Johnny Gaudreau netted the winning goal 40 seconds into overtime. Jack Roslovic scored back-to-back short-handed and power-play goals in the final 2 minutes of the second period to go with his two assists. Patrik Laine had a goal and an assist.
Seattle 5 – FLORIDA 2… The Kraken scored three straight goals in the third period to bury the Panthers. Matty Beniers, Andre Burakovsky and Yanni Gourde each had a goal and an assist.
Washington 5 – WINNIPEG 2… The Capitals scored four unanswered goals in the first period and never looked back in skating past the Jets. Alexander Ovechkin shot into an empty net to cap the scoring with his 997th career goal. Dmitry Orlov assisted on two goals.
ARIZONA 5 – Philadelphia 4 (OT)… Clayton Keller scored his third goal of the game at 4:23 of overtime to send the Coyotes past the Flyers. Nick Ritchie had a goal and an assist. Nick Schmaltz and J.J. Moser each set up two goals.
Boston 3 – VEGAS 1… The Bruins skated past the Golden Knights after spotting them an early goal. Jake DeBrusk netted a tie-breaking goal in the second period. Linus Ullmark make 30 saves at goal.
