Lady Tigers Dominant In First Win

The Kirksville Lady Tigers picked up their first win of the year, blowing out Clark Co. 59-27 in the home opener at Tiger Gym. KHS outscored Clark 20-7 in a pivotal 2nd quarter to take a 36-17 lead at the half. Channing Totta, being slowed by an elbow injury in her shooting arm the first two games of the season, caught fire Tuesday. She scored 12 points in the 2nd to help the Lady Tigers begin to pull away. Totta hit 6 three-pointers on her way to 23 points on the night. Jada Jackson had 12 points, Elli Porter 11. KHh hit 11 threes as the perimeter got hot. KHS gets to 1-2 on the year and will have a big test Friday at Moberly in the NCMC opener. Coverage of the varsity double header starts around 6:05.
