BOSTON 3 – Tampa Bay 1… Taylor Hall’s second goal of the game broke a tie early in the third period and Brad Marchand added an empty-netter in the Bruins’ win over the Lightning. Goalie Jeremy Swayman made 27 saves.
San Jose 4 – MONTREAL 0… Kaapo Kahkonen stopped all 28 shots at goal in the Sharks’ shutout of the Canadiens. Logan Couture scored a goal and assisted on another for San Jose.
Carolina 3 – PITTSBURGH 2 (OT)… Brett Pesce scored off a two-on-none rush 2:20 into overtime to send the Hurricanes past the Penguins. Sebastian Aho assisted on two goals. Goalie Pyotr Kochetkov made 30 saves.
PHILADELPHIA 3 – N.Y. Islanders 1… Kevin Hayes found the net twice to lead the Flyers past the Islanders for their first win after 10 straight losses. Lukas Sedlak set up two goals.
NASHVILLE 2 – Anaheim 1 (OT)… Roman Josi’s goal at 3:50 of overtime lifted the Predators over the Ducks. Colton Sissons opened the scoring midway through the second period. Matt Duchene had two assists.
WINNIPEG 5 – Colorado 0… Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck piled up 40 stops in blanking the Avalanche. Blake Wheeler scored three goals and had an assist. Josh Morrissey added a goal and an assist.
CALGARY 6 – Florida 2… The Flames scored three unanswered goals in the first period and cruised past the Panthers. Dillon Dube had a goal and two assists. Jonathan Huberdeau, Andrew Mangiapane, Tyler Toffoli and Rasmus Anderson each added a goal and an assist.
Washington 5 – VANCOUVER 1… Alex Ovechkin scored back-to-back goals in the first period to give the Capitals an early two-goal lead and they never looked back in their downing of the Canucks. Anthony Mantha had a goal and an assist. Darcy Kuemper made 31 saves at goal.
Seattle 9 – LOS ANGELES 8… The Kraken recovered to shoot their way past the Kings after blowing a two-goal third-period lead. Andre Burakovsky scored the winning goal on a power play at 2:08 of overtime after finding the net to cap a five-goal second period. Matty Beniers and Jared McCann added two goals apiece.
