Blues Sink Ducks

ST. LOUIS 3 – Anaheim 1… Justin Faulk netted a tie-breaking power-play goal with 4:13 remaining and Noel Acciari scored his second goal into an empty net to push the Blues past the Ducks. Goalie Jordan Binnington made 27 saves.

 

 

NEW JERSEY 5 – Edmonton 2… Back-to-back goals by Dawson Mercer and Damon Severson in the second period broke a tie and the Devils went on to beat the Oilers for their 13th straight win. Nico Hischier assisted on three goals.

Calgary 5 – PHILADELPHIA 2… Blake Coleman scored a goal and assisted on two others as the Flames dealt the Flyers their seventh straight loss. Coleman was playing in his 400th career game.

Boston 5 – TAMPA BAY 3… Five different players found the net as the Bruins topped the Lightning and extended their winning streak to seven games. David Krejci had a goal and an assist.

N.Y. Islanders 3 – TORONTO 2 (OT)… Anthony Beauvillier scored at 1:56 of overtime to lift the Islanders over the Maple Leafs. Josh Bailey netted a tying goal with 2:58 left in regulation. Noah Dobson also found the net for New York.

WINNIPEG 4 – Carolina 3 (OT)… The Jets recovered to outlast the Hurricanes after blowing a three-goal third-period lead. Josh Morrissey’s second goal of the game won it at 2:10 of overtime. Pierre-Luc Dubois had a goal and two assists.

NASHVILLE 4 – Arizona 3 (SO)… Matt Duchene, Filip Forsberg, Ryan Johansen and Cody Glass all scored in the shootout as the Predators outlasted the Coyotes. Duchene also scored in regulation. Roman Josi had a goal and an assist.

Colorado 3 – DALLAS 2 (SO)… Mikko Rantanen scored the lone goal in the shootout to give the Avalanche a hard-fought win over the Stars. Cale Maker opened the scoring with a power-play goal midway through the first period and Alex Newhook scored in the third. Jason Robertson scored both Dallas goals.

SAN JOSE 5 – Ottawa 1… Timo Meier scored a tie-breaking goal early in the second period and the Sharks skated past the Senators. Logan Couture had a goal and an assist. Kaapo Kahkonen stopped 37 shots at goal.

Vegas 5 – VANCOUVER 4… The Golden Knights closed with three straight goals in the third period to upend the Canucks.  Pietrangelo also had two assists. William Carter found the net twice for Vegas.
