Darrell Lee McDowell, 73, of Clarence, Missouri, passed away June 18, 2022 at the Clarence Health Care Center in Clarence, Missouri.
Born February 26, 1949 in California, Darrell was the son of the late Gerald Maxhart and Mona Marie (Walker) McDowell. He was also preceded in death by his wife Sharon Kay Produe; one granddaughter, Michelle Clark; and one sister, Garna Durham.
Darrell is survived by his daughter, Candy McFarland of Kirksville, MO; his brother and sister-in-law, Danny and Michelle McDowell of Kirksville, MO; his sister, Jackie Maranda of Moline, IL; two granddaughters, Kristie Wyatt and Heather McFarland; four great-grandchildren, Killian, Savannah, Cameron, and Colton; two nieces, Christy (Curt) Franke, and Dana (Felex) Baez; two nephews, Josh McDowell, and Marc Gatton as well as other nephews; and one great nephew, Lincoln West McDowell.
Darrell received his education and was a graduate of Kirksville High School with the Class of 1967. He was employed at Doc Haggart & Son Oil Company, Bob Allen Tire Supply, Wright Tire & Appliance, at the Christian Church Crafts & Things, Jepson Lumber Company, Amtrak Depot Station as an agent for several years, was a member of the Adair Lodge #366 AF & AM, and was an avid train watcher and collector. He will be missed dearly by his family.
Graveside inurnment service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Maple Hills Cemetery in Kirksville, under the direction of Travis-Noe Funeral Home of Kirksville.
