NATIONAL LEAGUE
PITTSBURGH 5 – St. Louis 3… The Pirates put up a four-run bottom of the fourth inning to overcome an early three-run deficit and top the Cardinals. Pittsburgh ends the season with a 62-100 record and tied with Cincinnati for fourth-place in the NL Central. St. Louis won the NL Central with a 93-69 record. The Cardinals host Philadelphia in the Wild Card Series opener on Friday.

Arizona 4 – MILWAUKEE 2… Josh Rojas hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the top of the ninth inning and Corbin Carroll homered in the next at-bat to rally the Diamondback past the Brewers. Arizona finishes with a 74-88 record and fourth-place finish in the NL West. Milwaukee went 86-76 and finished second in the NL Central.

MIAMI 12 – Atlanta 9… Peyton Burdick went 3-for-4 with a two-run homer and a two-run single as the Marlins slugged their way past the Braves. Nick Fortes homered with a runner aboard. Miami ends the season with a 69-93 record and fourth-place finish in the NL East. Atlanta won the NL East title with a 101-69 record.

N.Y. METS 9 – Washington 2… Mark Canha and James McCann belted three-run homers in the Mets’ throttling of the Nationals. Francisco Lindor knocked in New York’s other three runs with a bases-clearing double. The Mets head to the postseason as the NL’s top wild card with a 101-61 record. They host San Diego in Friday’s Wild Card Series opener. Washington went 55-107 and finished fifth in the NL East.

San Francisco 8 – SAN DIEGO 1… The Giants rolled past the Padres after spotting them an early run. Jonathan Villar homered twice and drove in three runs. Austin Slater also went deep. San Francisco finishes third in the NL West with an 81-81 record. San Diego is heading to the postseason as the NL’s second wild card and visits the N.Y. Mets in the Wild Card Series opener on Friday.

Chi. Cubs 15 – CINCINNATI 2… Daniel Bote blasted a three-run homer and doubled home a pair of runs to lead the Cubs in their pounding of the Reds. Franmil Reyes had three hits, including a solo homer, and three RBIs. Alex McKinstry also went deep. Chicago went 74-88 and finished third in the NL Central. Cincinnati ends the season with a 62-100 record and tied with Pittsburgh for fourth-place in the NL Central.

L.A. DODGERS 6 – Colorado 1… Clayton Kershaw (12-3) surrendered just an Ezequiel Tovar solo homer over five strong innings and the Dodgers breezed past the Rockies. L.A. finishes the season as the NL West champion with an MLB-best 111-51 record. Colorado finished fifth in the NL West at 68-94.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
BALTIMORE 5 – Toronto 4…  Terrin Vavra’s three-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning lifted the Orioles over the Toronto Blue Jays in the first game of a doubleheader.

Toronto 5 – BALTIMORE 1… Otto Lopez hit a tie-breaking two-run single in the seventh inning and the Blue Jays went on to beat the Orioles and earn a split of the season-ending twinbill. Toronto, the AL’s top wild card, finished the season with a record and second place in the AL East. The Blue Jays host Seattle in Friday’s Wild Card Series opener. Baltimore finished 83-79 and finished fourth in the AL East.

OAKLAND 3 – L.A. Angels 2… Retiring Stephen Voit homered in his final game to highlight the Athletics’ win over the Angels. Ken Waldichuk (2-2) pitched two-hit ball over seven scoreless innings. Oakland finished fifth in the AL West with a 60-102 record. L.A. went 73-89 for a third-place finish in the AL West.

TEXAS 4 – N.Y. Yankees 2… The Rangers got home runs from Charlie Culberson and Jonah Heim in downing the Yankees. Texas went 68-94 and finished fourth in the AL West. New York captured the AL East crown with a 99-63 record.

CLEVELAND 9 – Kansas City 2… Jose Ramirez went 4-for-5 with a pair of run-scoring singles in leading the Guardians past the Royals. Cleveland won the AL Central crown with a 92-70 record and hosts Tampa Bay in the Wild Card Series opener on Friday. Kansas City finished fifth in the AL Central with a 65-97 record.

SEATTLE 5 – Detroit 4… Ty France singled home Curt Casali with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Mariners fought off the Tigers. Julio Rodriguez and Mitch Haniger hit first-inning homers for Seattle, which finished the regular season with a 90-72 record and the AL’s second wild card. The Mariners visit Toronto in Friday’s Wild Card Series opener. Detroit finished fourth in the NL Central with a 66-96 record.

BOSTON 6 – Tampa Bay 3… J.D. Martinez homered twice and knocked in four runs as the Red Sox doubled up on the Rays. Boston ends the regular season with a 78-84 record and fifth-place finish in the AL East. Tampa Bay went 86-76 and enters the postseason as the AL’s third wild card. The Rays visit Cleveland in the Wild Card Series opener on Friday.

Minnesota 10 – CHI. WHITE SOX 1… Gary Sánchez belted a three-run homer and Jermaine Palacios added a two-run shot during a six-run top of the sixth inning and the Twins coasted past the White Sox. Minnesota finishes with a 78-84 record, good for third place in the AL Central. Chicago ends the season 81-81 and a second-place finish in the AL Central.

INTERLEAGUE
HOUSTON 3 – Philadelphia 2… Christian Vazquez’s solo homer in the bottom of the seventh inning proved to be the difference as the Astros held off the Phillies. Houston captured the AL West title with a 106-56 record. Philadelphia went 87-79 and is heading to the playoffs as the NL’s third wild card. The Phillies visit St. Louis in Friday’s Wild Card Series opener.
