NFL Scores Sunday 9-18

NFL SCOREBOARD… 
N.Y. Jets 31 – CLEVELAND 30… The Jets (1-1) overcame a 13-point deficit with less than 2 minutes remaining to stun the Browns (1-1). Joe Flacco threw 15 yards to rookie Garrett Wilson with 22 seconds left for the winning touchdown. Flacco hit Corey Davis for a 66-yard TD with 1:22 left and finished with four TD passes on the day.

DETROIT 36 – Washington 27… Jared Goff hit Amon-Ra St. Brown with two of his four touchdown passes and the Lions (1-1) handled the Commanders (1-1). Goff completed 20 of 34 passes for 256 yards.

Tampa Bay 20 – NEW ORLEANS 10… The Buccaneers (2-0) fought off the Saints (1-1) in a testy affair that included two ejections. Tom Brady threw a go-ahead 28-yard touchdown pass to Breshad Perriman in the third quarter. Mike Edwards returned an interception 68 yards for a fourth-quarter score. 

N.Y. GIANTS 19 – Carolina 16… Graham Gano’s fourth field goal of the game came from 56 yards out with 3:34 remaining and the Giants (2-0) hung on to down the Panthers (0-2). Daniel Jones found rookie tight end Daniel Bellinger on a 16-yard touchdown pass for New York’s only touchdown.

New England 17 – PITTSBURGH 14… Mac Jones threw for 253 yards and a touchdown as the Patriots (1-1) topped the mistake-prone Steelers (1-1). Nelson Agholor hauled in a 44-yard scoring pass just before halftime.

JACKSONVILLE 24 – Indianapolis 0… Trevor Lawrence hit Christian Kirk with a pair of touchdown passes the Jaguars (1-1) blanked the Colts (0-1-1). James Robinson ran 37 yards for a first-half score.

Miami 42 – BALTIMORE 38… The Dolphins (2-0) erased a 21-point deficit with less than 13 minutes remaining to shock the Ravens (1-1) Tua Tagovailoa passed for 469 yards and six touchdowns. His 7-yard scoring pass to Jaylen Waddle with 14 seconds provided the winning margin. Waddle finished with 11 catches for 171 yards and two TDs. Tyreek Hill had 11 catches for 190 yards and two scores.

L.A. RAMS 31 – Atlanta 27… Jalen Ramsey intercepted a potential go-ahead touchdown pass in the end zone at the end as the Rams (1-1) held off the Falcons (0-2).  Matthew Stafford threw for 272 yards and three touchdowns. Cooper Kupp had 11 catches for 108 yards and two TDs.

SAN FRANCISCO 27 – Seattle 7… The 49ers (1-1) cruised past the Seahawks (1-1) despite losing starting quarterback Trey Lance to a broken ankle. Jimmy Garoppolo replaced Lance threw a touchdown pass on his first full drive and added a fourth-quarter touchdown run.

DALLAS 20 – Cincinnati 17… Brett Maher booted a 50-yard field goal as time expired to lift the Cowboys (1-1) over the Bengals (0-2) after Dallas blew a two-touchdown halftime lead. Cooper Rush replaced the injured Dak Prescott at quarterback and threw 9 yards to Noah Brown for first-quarter score. Dallas’ defense sacked Cincinnati quarterback Joe Burrow six times in the first three quarters. 

DENVER 16 – Houston 9… Russell Wilson (1-1) shook off a slow start to lead the Broncos (1-1) past the Texans (0-1-1). Wilson found tight end Eric Saubert with a fourth-quarter touchdown pass that gave Denver the lead for good. 

Arizona 29 – LAS VEGAS 23 (OT)… The Cardinals (1-1) came from 20 points down in the second half to outlast the Raiders (0-2). They won it on Byron Murphy Jr.’s 59-yard return of a Hunter Renfrow’s fumble for a touchdown with 3:51 left in overtime. Kyler Murray scrambled for a 3-yard touchdown on the final play of regulation and connected with A.J. Green for the tying 2-point conversion.

GREEN BAY 27 – Chicago 10… Aaron Jones ran 15 yards for a touchdown and caught an 8-yard scoring pass from Aaron Rodgers to spark a three-touchdown second quarter that sent the Packers (1-1) past the Bears (1-1). Jones finished with 132 yards rushing.
