Wainwright and Molina Make History In Cards Win

Adam Wainwright and Yadier Molina started together for the 325th time, the most by a battery in major league history, then the Cardinals capped it off with a 4-1 win over Milwaukee.

Nolan Arenado and Lars Nootbaar both homered for the Cardinals, who have won three of four. They stretched their division lead to eight games over the second-place Brewers.

Wainwright picked up the win, allowing just one run on eight hits, striking out 3 in five innings, Ryan Helsley notched his 17th save.

The Cardinals lead is now back to 8 games in the division.
