NATIONAL LEAGUE
Pittsburgh 10 – CINCINNATI 4… Rodolfo Castro belted a three-run homer and singled home a run to lead the Pirates in their pounding of the Reds. Oneil Cruz also went deep. Michael Chavis produced a two-run single.

SAN FRANCISCO 4 – Atlanta 1… Carlos Rodón allowed just an unearned run on two hits over five innings and four relievers shut the door as the Giants topped the Braves. J.D. Davis doubled home a tie-breaking run in the bottom of the fourth inning. Austin Wynns added a two-run single in the sixth.

Philadelphia 6 – MIAMI 1… J.T. Realmuto homered twice and knocked in four runs as the Phillies rolled past the Marlins. Bryce Harper also went deep. Kyle Gibson (10-6) gave up a run on six hits over six innings.

Chi. Cubs 6 – N.Y. METS 3… The Cubs scored all six runs in the top of the first inning and coasted past the Mets. Yan Gomes and P.J. Higgins stroked back-to-back two-run doubles. Drew Smyly (7-8) surrendered two runs on four hits over five innings. One of the runs he allowed was unearned.

ST. LOUIS 4 – Milwaukee 1… Adam Wainwright held the Brewers to a run on eight hits over five innings and the Cardinals cruised to the win on a historic night in St. Louis. Wainwright’s first pitch to Yadier Molina marked their 325th regular-season start together, setting a major league record for the most common battery. Nolan Arenado and Lars Nootbaar hit solo homers for the Cards.

ARIZONA 5 – L.A. Dodgers 3 (10 innings)… Sergio Alcantara’s three-run homer in the bottom of the 10th inning gave the Diamondbacks a walkoff win over the Dodgers. Daulton Varsho and Corbin Carroll hit solo homers for Arizona.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
CLEVELAND 5 – L.A. Angels 3… Jose Ramirez hit a tie-breaking two-run homer in the bottom of the eighth inning to send the Guardians past the Angels. Oscar Gonzalez went 3-for-4 with a solo homer.

Houston 2 – DETROIT 1… Cristian Javier (9-9) limited the Tigers to two hits over six scoreless innings and the Astros held on for the win. Kyle Tucker homered and Alex Bregman lifted a sacrifice fly for Houston.

TORONTO 5 – Tampa Bay 1… Ross Stripling (8-4) gave up just a run on three hits over 6-1/3 innings as the Blue Jays eased past the Rays. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. accounted for Toronto’s first two runs with a homer and an RBI infield grounder. Bo Bichette had a couple of hits, including an RBI single.

N.Y. Yankees 5 – BOSTON 3… The Yankees took advantage of three errors to down the Red Sox. Gleyber Torres singled home the first of three unearned runs New York scored in the top of the first inning. Nestor Cortes (10-4) allowed just a run on three hits over five innings.

MINNESOTA 4 – Kansas City 0… Sonny Gray (8-4) pitched three-hit ball over seven innings and got help from two Twins relievers in the shutout of the Royals. Gary Sánchez stroked a two-run double to cap a three-run bottom of the first inning.

Oakland 8 – TEXAS 7… The Athletics came from four runs down to slug their way past the Rangers. Vimael Machin doubled home Sheldon Neuse with the tying run and came around to score the decisive run on an error by Texas shortstop Cory Seager. Seth Brown homered with a runner aboard and Oakland got solo shots from Tony Kemp and Dermis Garcia.

INTERLEAGUE
Colorado 3 – CHI. WHITE SOX 0… Kyle Freeland (9-9) scattered seven hits over 6-2/3 innings and two relievers completed the Rockies’ shutout of the Tigers. Yonathan Daza had a couple of hits, including an RBI single, for Colorado.

SEATTLE 6 – San Diego 1… Luis Castillo (7-5) pitched four-hit ball over six scoreless innings and the Mariners breezed past the Padres. Julio Rodriguez hit a lead-off homer and Eugenio Suarez added a two-run shot in the bottom of the first inning. Carlos Santana added a three-run blast in the fifth.

Baltimore 6 – WASHINGTON 2… Gunnar Henderson legged out a bases-clearing triple in the top of the seventh inning and finished with four RBIs in the Orioles’ win over the Nationals. Jorge Mateo also went deep.
