NATIONAL LEAGUE
CINCINNATI 5 – St. Louis 1… Austin Romine’s two-run homer sparked a four-run bottom of the third inning and the Reds breezed past the Cardinals. Alejo Lopez went 3-for-3 and scored a run.

L.A. Dodgers 4 – N.Y. METS 3… Gavin Lux’s infield single in the top of the seventh inning scored Freddie Freeman with a tie-breaking run and the Dodgers hung on to edge the Mets. Lux also singled home a pair of runs in the third.

Colorado 3 – ATLANTA 2… The Rockies eased past the Braves after spotting them a two-run lead. CJ Cron put Colorado on the board with an infield single in the top of the fourth inning and added a two-run single in the fifth. Jose Ureña (3-5) allowed two runs on six hits over five innings.

Pittsburgh 4 – MILWAUKEE 2… Oneil Cruz drove in two runs with a single and a double to help the Pirates get past the Brewers. Michael Chavis smacked a solo homer for Pittsburgh.

ARIZONA 12 – Philadelphia 3… Jake McCarthy legged out a two-run triple to cap a five-run bottom of the second inning and belted a three-run homer in the fourth to lead the Diamondbacks in the pounding of the Phillies. Corbin Carroll drove in three runs with a single and a double. Alek Thomas went 4-for-5 with two RBIs. Zac Gallen (12-3) pitched two-hit ball over seven scoreless innings.

San Diego 4 – SAN FRANCISCO 3… The Padres took a 4-0 lead into the eighth inning and held off the Giants. Josh Bell broke a scoreless tie with an RBI single in the top of the sixth inning. Trent Grisham homered with a runner aboard in the seventh.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
CLEVELAND 5 – Baltimore 1… Josh Naylor hit a go-ahead two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth inning and Bobby Kwan doubled home a pair of runs in the fifth as the Guardians cruised past the Orioles. Cal Quantrill (11-5) allowed just a run on Cleveland’s only hit over six innings and three relievers shut the door.

Seattle 9 – DETROIT 3… Cal Raleigh hit a leadoff homer and lifted a sacrifice fly during a six-run top of the third inning that carried the Mariners past the Tigers. Carlos Santana homered with a runner aboard. Ty France went 3-for-4 with a solo homer and a run-scoring single. George Kirby (6-3) pitched two-hit ball over five scoreless innings.

MINNESOTA 10 – Boston 5… Nick Gordon connected for a grand slam and knocked in six runs as the Twins doubled up on the Red Sox. Gary Sánchez and Jake Cave hit solo homers.

Houston 4 – TEXAS 2… Framber Valdez (14-4) surrendered two runs on seven hits over eight innings in pitching the Astros past the Rangers and winning his sixth straight decision. Jose Altuve homered with the base empty for Houston.

Kansas City 9 – CHI. WHITE SOX 7… Nick Pratto went 4-for-5 with a pair of homers and three RBIs as the Royals fought off the White Sox. Salvador Perez hit a two-run homer and singled home a run. Michael Taylor added a solo homer and a two-run single.

N.Y. Yankees 7 – L.A. ANGELS 4…. Aaron Judge blasted his 51st homer with two runners aboard in the top of the fourth inning and the Yankees went on to down the Angels and snap a three-game skid. Andrew Benintendi and Anthony Rizzo smacked solo homers for New York.

INTERLEAGUE
Tampa Bay 7 – MIAMI 2… Jerry Siri doubled home a run and homered with the bases empty in leading the Rays past the Marlins. Randy Arozarena also went deep. Tampa Bay used seven pitchers after starter Shane McClanahan was scratched prior to gametime.

TORONTO 5 – Chi. Cubs 3… Teoscar Hernández cracked a go-head three-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning to give the Blue Jays the lead for good in their win over the Cubs. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. drove in Toronto’s other two runs with a homer and an RBI single.

Oakland 10 – WASHINGTON 6… The Athletics overcame an early three-run deficit to slug their way past the Nationals. Dermis Garcia it a two-run homer and Tony Kemp doubled home two more runs during a five-run top of the third inning. Sean Murphy opened the scoring with an RBI single in the first and unloaded a grand slam in the fifth.
