NATIONAL LEAGUE
Atlanta 14 – PITTSBURGH 2… Matt Olson went 3-for-4 with a grand slam in leading the Braves in their pounding of the Pirates. Willson Contreras homered with a runner aboard. Dansby Swanson had a couple of hits and drove in three runs. Kyle Wright (16-5) pitched two-hit ball over seven innings.

PHILADELPHIA 7 – Cincinnati 5… Rhys Hoskins had a couple of hits and three RBIs in helping the Phillies get past the Reds. JT Realmuto had three hits, including a solo homer. Jean Segura went 3-for-5 and scored twice.

CHI. CUBS 7 – St. Louis 1… Starter Luke Farrell and four relievers held the Cardinals and got plenty of support in the Cubs’ win. Zack McKinstry hit a two-run homer and drove in a run with an infield grounder. Nico Hoerner went 3-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored.

L.A. DODGERS 12 – Milwaukee 6… Austin Barnes hit a two-run homer and finished with four RBIs in leading the Dodgers past the Brewers. Max Muncy, Joey Gallo and Cody Bellinger added two RBIs apiece. Andrew Heaney (2-1) surrendered two runs on four hits over six innings.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
Chi. White Sox 5 – BALTIMORE 3… Gavin Sheets went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and the White Sox handled the Orioles. Lucas Giolito (10-7) surrendered a run on four hits over 6-1/3 innings.

TAMPA BAY 4 – L.A. Angels 3 (11 innings)… Harold Ramirez doubled home the tying run in the bottom of the 11th inning and came around to score on a throwing error by Angels first-baseman Jared Walsh to give the Rays a walkoff win. Both teams scored single runs in the 10th. The game featured a scoreless duel between Tampa Bay starter Shane McClanahan and his counterpart Mike Mayers but neither got a decision.

Toronto 3 – BOSTON 1 (10 innings)… George Springer doubled home Jackie Bradley Jr. with a tie-breaking run in the top of the 10th inning and the Blue Jays hung on to edge the Red Sox. Alejandro Kirk went 3-for-5 with an RBI single. Vladimir Guerrero’s RBI single tied the game in the fifth.

HOUSTON 5 – Minnesota 3… Jose Altuve homered to lead off the bottom of the first inning and Trey Mancini added a two-run shot in the sixth to help power the Astros past the Twins. Framber Valdez (13-4) surrendered just a run on two hits over seven innings.

INTERLEAGUE
DETROIT 6 – San Francisco 1… Matt Manning (1-1) pitched five-hit ball over six scoreless innings and the Tigers cruised past the Giants. Victor Reyes and Willin Castro produced two-run singles.

Texas 16 – COLORADO 4… The Rangers walloped the Rockies with an 18-hit attack. Mark Mathias’ bases-clearing double capped a seven-run top of the second inning. Nathaniel Lowe singled, doubled, homered and drove in five runs. Charlie Culberson homered with a runner aboard. Martin Pérez (10-4) pitched four-hit ball over six scoreless innings.

OAKLAND 3 – Miami 2 (10 innings)… Skye Bolt’s sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 10th innings scored David MacKinnon with the winning run as the Athletics outlasted the Marlins. Chad Pinder singled home the game’s first two runs in the sixth.

Cleveland 7 – SAN DIEGO 0… Cal Quantrill (10-5) pitched five-hit ball over seven innings and two relievers completed the Guardians’ shutout of the Padres. Jose Ramires went 3-for-3 with a pair of solo homers and a sacrifice fly. Steven Kwan contributed a two-run single.

Washington 3 – SEATTLE 1… Ildemaro Vargas connected for a tie-breaking two-run homer in the top of the ninth inning to push the Nationals past the Mariners. Five Washington pitchers combined on a five-hitter.

KANSAS CITY 5 – Arizona 3… The Royals came alive to score all five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and held on to down the Diamondbacks. Bobby Witt Jr.’s three-run homer capped the uprising. Brady Singer (7-4) gave up a run on four hits over seven innings.
