MLB SCOREBOARD…
NATIONAL LEAGUE
MIAMI 3 – Pittsburgh 2 (11 innings)… Brian Anderson’s two-run triple in the bottom of the 11th inning lifted the Marlins over the Pirates. Joey Wendle went 2-for-3 with an RBI double. Miami starter Braxton Garrett pitched two-hit ball and struck out 11 over six scoreless innings.

COLORADO 8 – San Diego 5… Jose Iglesias’ tie-breaking RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning sparked a three-run rally that pushed the Rockies past the Padres.  Randal Grichuk drove in three runs with a pair of doubles for Colorado.

Atlanta 5 – WASHINGTON 4… The Braves got two-run homers from Dansby Swanson and Michael Harris II, along with a solo shot from Matt Olson, in powering their way past the Braves. Kyle Wright (11-4) allowed two runs on seven hits over seven innings.

L.A. Dodgers 4 – ST. LOUIS 0… Tyler Anderson (10-1) pitched three-hit ball over six innings and three Dodgers relievers completed the blanking of the Cardinals. Gavin Lux homered with a runner aboard. Will Smith went 2-for-3 with an RBI double.

N.Y. Mets 8 – CHI. CUBS 0… Carlos Carrasco (10-4) scattered five hits over six innings and reliever Trevor Williams did the rest as the Mets blanked the Cubs. Pete Alonso hit a two-run homer. Brandon Nimmo went 3-for-4 with a solo blast.

Milwaukee 3 – SAN FRANCISCO 2 (10 innings)… Jonathan Davis’ infield single in the top of the 10th inning scored pinch-runner Christian Yelich with the decisive run as the Brewers topped the Giants after spotting them an early two-run lead. Willy Adames lined a game-tying RBI single in the sixth.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
Kansas City 3 – TORONTO 1… Bobby Witt, Jr., smacked a tie-breaking solo homer in the top of the fifth inning and the Royals held off the Blue Jays. Nate Eaton also went deep. Angel Zerpa (2-0) allowed a run on four hits over five innings and three relievers shut the door.

TAMPA BAY 5 – Boston 4… The Rays came alive to score all five runs in the bottom of the seventh innings to get past the Red Sox. Taylor Walls and Yandy Diaz produced two-run singles.

CLEVELAND 4 – Detroit 0… Triston McKenzie allowed just five hits and fanned 12 over eight innings and got help from Emmanuel Clase in the shutout of the Tigers. Andrés Giménez doubled home a run and homered for the Guardians.

Chi. White Sox 12 – MINNESOTA 2… Luis Robert went 3-for-5 with a grand slam and run-scoring single to lead the White Sox in their romp over the Twins. Seby Zavala cracked a three-run homer. Andrew Vaughn also went deep.

Seattle 6 – TEXAS 5… The Mariners came from four runs down after five innings to upend the Rangers and extend their winning streak to 11 games. Ty France delivered a go-ahead two-run single to cap a three-run top of the eighth inning. Sam Haggerty homered with the bases empty. Eugenio Suarez stroked a two-run single.

Houston 3 – L.A. ANGELS 2 (10 innings)… Jeremy Peña singled home pinch-runner Korey Lee with a tie-breaking run in the top of the 10th inning and the Astros made it stand in outlasting the Angels. Kyle Tucker singled home a run as Houston scored twice in the first.

INTERLEAGUE
Cincinnati 7 – N.Y. YANKEES 6 (10 innings)… The Reds came up with three runs in the top of the 10th inning and hung on to down the Yankees. Joey Votto sparked the rally with a three-run double. Votto also singled home a run in the seventh.
