NATIONAL LEAGUE
N.Y. Mets 7 – ATLANTA 3… Francisco Lindor belted a three-run homer, Eduardo Escobar added a solo shot and the Mets handled the Braves. Chris Bassitt (7-6) allowed just a run on five hits over six innings.
SAN FRANCISCO 4 – Arizona 3… The Giants rallied from three runs down after six innings to top the Diamondbacks. Brandon Crawford singled home David Villar with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning. Villar put San Francisco on the board with a sacrifice fly in the seventh. Wilmer Flores smacked a game-tying homer to lead off the eighth.
MIAMI 5 – Pittsburgh 4 (10 innings)… The Marlins came up with three runs in the bottom of the 10th inning to upend the Pirates. Jesus Aguilar tied the game with an RBI single and came around to score the winning run on a wild pitch. Jon Berti singled home a run to spark the rally. Avisail Garcia stroked a two-run single.
L.A. Dodgers 7 – ST. LOUIS 6… The Dodgers rallied past the Cardinals in their final three at-bats after trailing 6-0 after six innings. Max Muncy lifted a game-tying sacrifice fly and Hanser Alberto singled home a go-ahead run in the top of the ninth inning. Will Smith’s two-run homer in the seventh put L.A. on the board.
COLORADO 10 – San Diego 6… José Iglesias had three hits, including a two-run homer, and knocked in six runs to lead the Rockies past the Padres. Sam Hilliard went 3-for-5 with an RBI.
AMERICAN LEAGUE
KANSAS CITY 5 – Detroit 2… Brady Singer (4-3) held the Tigers to a run on seven hits over six innings and the Royals cruised to the win. Emmanuel Rivera’s RBI double sparked a four-run bottom of the fourth inning. Hunter Dozier tripled home an insurance run.
TAMPA BAY 4 – Boston 1… Shane McClanahan (10-3) allowed just a run on three hits over 6-1/3 innings in pitching the Rays past the Red Sox. Ji-Man Choi and Harold Ramirez produced back-to-back RBI singles in the bottom of the third inning. Taylor Walls also went deep.
Chi. White Sox 2 – CLEVELAND 1… The White Sox scored twice in the top of the six inning and hung on to edge the Guardians. Jose Abreu doubled home a run and Andrew Vaughn added an RBI grounder. Lucas Giolito (6-5) limited Cleveland to a run on five hits over 6-1/3 innings.
TEXAS 5 – Oakland 2… The Rangers scored all five runs in the bottom of the first inning and coasted past the Athletics. Leody Taveras and Brad Miller stroked two-run singles. Jon Gray (6-4) surrendered just an infield single over seven scoreless innings.
L.A. ANGELS 7 – Houston 1… Shohei Ohtani (9-4) allowed just a run on four hits and struck out 12 over six innings in winning his sixth straight start as the Angels pounded the Astros. Ohtani helped himself at the plate with a two-run triple. Luis Rengifo added a two-run single.
INTERLEAGUE
Seattle 6 – WASHINGTON 4… Eugenio Suarez cracked a three-run homer in the top of the first inning and the Mariners went on to beat the Nationals in the opener of a doubleheader. Adam Frazier had a couple of hits and an RBI.
Seattle 2 – WASHINGTON 1… Jesse Winker homered and Adam lifted a sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth inning to provide all the offense the Mariners needed in completing a sweep of the twinbill. Four Seattle pitchers blanked the Nationals over the first eight innings.
MINNESOTA 4 – Milwaukee 1… Jose Miranda’s three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning gave the Twins a walkoff win over the Brewers. Max Kepler had a couple of hits and scored a run for Minnesota.
N.Y. YANKEES 7 – Cincinnati 6 (10 innings)… The Yankees outlasted the Reds after spotting them an early three-run lead. DJ LeMahieu raced home with the winning run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 10th inning. Giancarlo Stanton hit a game-tying solo homer in the eighth. Isiah Kiner-Falefa’s two-run double capped a five-run third.
TORONTO 8 – Philadelphia 2… Teoscar Hernandez connected for a pair of two-run homers in leading the Blue Jays past the Phillies. Vladimir Guerrero, Jr., homered with the bases empty and lifted a sacrifice fly. Ross Stripling (5-3) limited Philadelphia to two unearned runs on two hits over seven innings.
Baltimore 7 – CHI. CUBS 1… Spenser Watkins (3-1) surrendered just a run on four hits over five innings and the Orioles rolled past the Cubs. Anthony Santander opened the scoring with a two-run double in the top of the first inning. Austin Hays had four hits and scored a run.
