MLB Scores Sunday 6-12

NATIONAL LEAGUE
Arizona 13 – PHILADELPHIA 1… Christian Walker had three hits and knocked in three runs to lead the Diamondbacks in their thrashing of the Phillies. Jake McCarthy homered with a runner aboard. Seven Arizona pitchers scattered seven hits and recorded 13 strikeouts.

Milwaukee 4 – WASHINGTON 1… Willy Adames doubled home a run and homered with a runner aboard in leading the Brewers past the Nationals. Andrew McCutchen also went deep.

ATLANTA 5 – Pittsburgh 3… Adam Duval homered twice and drove in three runs as the Braves downed the Pirates. William Contreras and Matt Olson also went deep.

Cincinnati 7 – ST. LOUIS 6… The Reds held off the Cardinals after spotting them an early three-run lead. TJ Freidl drove in two runs with a single and a triple. Tommy Pham homered with the bases empty.

Colorado 4 – SAN DIEGO 2… Ryan McMahon slammed a tie-breaking two-run double in the top of the eighth inning to push the Rockies past the Padres. Germán Márquez (3-5) allowed two runs on six hits over seven innings.

SAN FRANCISCO 2 – Los Angeles 0… Solo homers by Austin Slater and Mike Yastrzemski in the bottom of the first inning carried the Giants past the Dodgers for a series sweep. Carlos Rodón (5-4) allowed just two hits over six innings before three relievers shut the door.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
CLEVELAND 6 – Oakland 3… Jose Ramirez lined a go-ahead two-run double in the bottom of the first inning and the Guardians went on to double up on the Athletics. Cal Quantrill (4-3) allowed a run on four hits over six innings.

Toronto 6 – DETROIT 0… Ross Stripling (3-1) pitched one-hit ball over six innings and three relievers completed the Blue Jays’ shutout of the Tigers. Vladimir Guerrero homered with a runner aboard. Lourdes Gurriel, Jr., doubled home a run and singled home two more.

Baltimore 10 – KANSAS CITY 7… The Orioles built a 7-0 lead after 5-1/2 innings and held off the Royals. Andrew Santander, Ryan Mountcastle and Rougned Odor hit solo homers. Cedric Mullins had four hits and drove in two runs. Richie Martin went 3-for-5 with two RBIs.

Tampa Bay 6 – MINNESOTA 0… Jeffrey Springs (3-2) limited the Twins to two hits over 5-1/3 innings and got help from four Rays relievers in the shutout. Kevin Kiermaier singled home a run and homered for Tampa Bay.

Texas 8 – CHI. WHITE SOX 6 (12 innings)… Jonah Heim delivered a two-run single in the top of the 12th inning and the Rangers outlasted the White Sox. Both teams scored three-runs in the 11th. Eli White smacked a two-run homer and lifted a sacrifice fly for Texas. Ezequiel Duran belted a three-run homer.

Boston 2 – SEATTLE 0… Rafael Devers’ two-run homer in the top of the eighth inning broke a scoreless tie and sent the Red Sox past the Mariners. The game featured a duel between Boston starter Kutter Crawford and his counterpart Robbie Ray but neither got a decision.

INTERLEAGUE
N.Y. YANKEES 18 – Chi. Cubs 4… Matt Carpenter homered twice and drove in seven runs as the Yankees put a beating on the Cubs. Kyle Higashioka added a pair of solo shots. Giancarlo Stanton and Isiah Kiner-Falefa each had three RBIs.

HOUSTON 9 – Miami 4… Jeremy Peña hit a two-run homer and Jose Altuve added a three-run shot as the Astros put away the Marlins. Michael Brantley knocked in two runs for Houston. Justin Verlander (8-2) surrendered four unearned runs on three hits over seven innings.

N.Y. Mets 4 – L.A. ANGELS 1… The Mets scratched out a win over the Angels after spotting them an early run. Taijuan Walker (4-2) gave up just a run on six hits and struck out 10 in six innings. Pete Alonso homered with a runner aboard. J.D. Davis also went deep.
