Arizona 5 – CINCINNATI 4… The Diamondbacks squeeze past the Reds after spotting them an early three-run lead. Josh Rojas singled home two runs during a four-run top of the ninth inning. Pavin Smith homered in the fifth.
Philadelphia 8 – MILWAUKEE 3… The Phillies got two-run homers from Kyle Schwarber and Odubel Herrera in winning their seventh in a row while handing the Brewers their sixth straight loss. Bryce Harper added a solo shot. Didi Gregorius went 3-for-5 with an RBI.
Colorado 4 – SAN FRANCISCO 2… The Rockies overcame an early two-run deficit to top the Giants. Yonathan Daza’s run-scoring single capped a three-run top of the fourth inning. Austin Gomber (3-6) allowed two runs on five hits over six innings.
MIAMI 7 – Washington 4… Jesus Sánchez doubled home a run to spark a three-run bottom of the first inning and hit a two-run homer to cap a four-run fifth that carried the Marlins past the Nationals. Trevor Rogers (3-5) allowed two runs on six hits over five innings.
ATLANTA 3 – Pittsburgh 1… Max Fried (6-2) allowed just a run on eight hits over six innings and three Braves relievers turned in a perfect inning as the Braves held off the Pirates. Dansby Swanson singled home a run and scored on Travis D’Arnaud’s double in the bottom of the third inning.
AMERICAN LEAGUE
CLEVELAND 8 – Oakland 4… The Guardians erased a 4-2 six-inning deficit and rolled past the Athletics. Pinch-hitter Richie Palacios came through with a two-run double to cap a four-run bottom of the eighth inning. Andrés Giménez singled home a run to spark the rally. Oscar went 4-for-4 with an RBI. Steven Kwan had three hits, including an RBI single.
N.Y. Yankees 10 – MINNESOTA 7… The Yankees slugged their way past the Twins after trailing 7-3 in the fifth inning. Joey Gallo homered twice and knocked in three runs. Aaron Hicks hit a game-tying two-run homer and singled home a run. DJ LeMahieu also went deep.
KANSAS CITY 7 – Baltimore 5… Carlos Santana’s tie-breaking two-run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning helped push the Royals past the Orioles. Salvador Perez also homered with a runner aboard for Kansas City.
L.A. ANGELS 5 – Boston 2… Starting pitcher Shohei Ohtani hit a two-run homer, Andrew Velazquez added a three-run shot and the Angels downed the Red Sox to end their 14-game losing streak. On the mound, Ohtani (4-4) allowed a run on four hits over seven innings.

TAMPA BAY 2 – St. Louis 1… Ji-Man Choi’s two-run homer in the bottom of the fourth inning provided all the offense the Rays needed in their win over the Cardinals. Shane McClanahan pitched two-hit ball over eight innings. His sixth-inning throwing error allowed St. Louis to score its only run.
L.A. Dodgers 11 – CHI. WHITE SOX 9… The Dodgers erased a 4-0 fifth-inning deficit and outslugged the White Sox. Max Muncy stroked a two-run double and belted a three-run homer. Freddie Freeman had three hits and drove in three runs. Gavin Lux went 4-for-4 with an RBI.
