NATIONAL LEAGUE
MILWAUKEE 10 – Cincinnati 5… The Brewers pounded out six home runs in handing the Reds their eighth straight loss. Willy Adames connected for a pair of two-run blasts. Luis Urías, Christian Yelich, Tyrone Taylor and Keston Hiura also went deep.

COLORADO 9 – Washington 7… The Rockies got three-run homers from Garrett Hampson and Brendan Rodgers in slugging their way past the Nationals. Randal Grichuk added a solo shot.

N.Y. Mets 8 – PHILADELPHIA 7… The Mets erupted to score seven runs in the top of the ninth inning to stun the Phillies. Starling Marte doubled home Ben Nimmo with a tie-breaking run after Nimmo’s two-run single tied the game. Marte also smacked a solo homer. Francisco Lindor homered with a runner aboard.

SAN DIEGO 2 – Miami 1… Manny Machado’s two solo homers powered the Padres past the Marlins. Nick Martinez (2-2) surrendered just a run on four hits over seven innings.

St. Louis 7 – SAN FRANCISCO 1… Tommy Edman went 3-for-5 and knocked in three runs as the Cardinals cruised past the Giants. Yadier Molina homered with the bases empty. Miles Mikolas (2-1) surrendered a run on seven hits over 5-2/3 innings.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
L.A. Angels 8– BOSTON 0… Shohei Ohtani (3-2) pitched six-hit ball and struck out 11 over seven innings before Mike Mayers held the Red Sox hitless the rest of the way in the Angels’ shutout win. Jared Walsh homered with a runner aboard and stroked a two-run single.

CLEVELAND 6 – Toronto 5…  The Guardians erased an early two-run deficit and held on at the end to beat the Blue Jays. Franmil Reyes had three hits and drove in a run. Steven Kwan connected for a two-run homer.

BALTIMORE 5 – Minnesota 3… Solo homers by Austin Hays and Ryan Mountcastle in the bottom of the eighth inning pushed the Orioles past the Twins. Mountcastle’s homer was his second of the game. Cedric Mullins and Jorge Mateo also went deep for Baltimore.

HOUSTON 3 – Detroit 2… Kyle Tucker singled home Chaz McCormick with the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Astros edged the Tigers. Jose Altuve and Jeremy Peña homered for Houston.

Tampa Bay 4 – SEATTLE 3… Mike Zunino’s three-run homer capped a four-run top of the fourth inning and the Rays held off the Mariners. Shane McClanahan (2-2) gave up two runs on three hits over 5-1/3 innings.
