MLB Scores Wednesday 4-27

NATIONAL LEAGUE
ST. LOUIS 10 – N.Y. Mets 5… The Cardinals doubled up on the Mets in a contest that featured a bench-clearing brawl in the bottom of the eighth inning. Nolan Arenado went 3-for-3 with three RBIs before being ejected for charging the mound.
Corey Dickerson and Dylan Carlson added two RBIs apiece.

ARIZONA 3 – L.A. Dodgers 1… The Diamondbacks scored twice in the bottom of the eighth inning on a throwing error by Dodgers’ infielder Max Muncy’s throwing error and held on for the win. Nick Ahmed homered for Arizona.

Milwaukee 3 – PITTSBURGH 1… Tyrone Taylor broke a tie with a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning as the Brewers downed the Pirates. Starter Aaron Ashby combined with four relievers on a one-hitter.

San Diego 8 – CINCINNATI 5… Jurickson Profar belted a three-run homer and Eric Hosmer added a leadoff blast in the eighth to power the Padres past the Reds. MacKenzie Gore (2-0) allowed a run on five hits and struck out 10 over five innings.

PHILADELPHIA 7 – Colorado 3… Odubel Herrera homered and lifted a sacrifice fly in the Phillies’ win over the Rockies. Didi Gregorius also drove in two runs. Bryce Harper had three hits and scored twice.

Miami 2 – WASHINGTON 1… Pablo López (3-0) pitched three-hit ball over six shutout innings and four Marlins relievers held off the Nationals the rest of the way. Jesus Aguilar homered for Miami and Jorge Soler drew a bases-loaded walk.

Chi. Cubs 6 – ATLANTA 3 (10 innings)… Willson Contreras doubled home a tie-breaking run in the top of the 10th inning and Patrick Wisdom followed with a two-run homer to push the Cubs past the Braves. Seiya Suzuki and Nick Madrigal each had two hits and an RBI.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
CHI. WHITE SOX 7 – Kansas City 3… Andrew Vaughn connected for a tie-breaking three-run homer in the seventh inning and the White Sox downed the Royals to end their eight-game skid. Jake Burger smacked a solo homer for Chicago.

TAMPA BAY 3 – Seattle 2…  The Rays got a two-run homer from Kevin Kiermaier and held off the Mariners. Drew Rasmussen (1-1) limited Seattle to two hits over six shutout innings.

N.Y. YANKEES 5 – Baltimore 2… Giancarlo Stanton homered to reach 350 in his career and lifted a tie-breaking sacrifice fly to help the Yankees get past the Orioles. Joey Gallo also homered for New York.

Boston 7 – TORONTO 1… Xander Bogaerts had went 4-for-4 with an RBI single in leading the Red Sox past the Blue Jays. Kiké Hernandez lifted a sacrifice fly and doubled home a run. Michael Wacha (2-0) allowed just a run on four hits over six innings.

MINNESOTA 5 – Detroit 0… Joe Ryan (3-1) allowed just a Miguel Cabrera fourth-inning single over seven innings and got help from three relievers in shutting out the Tigers. Ryan Jeffers homered, doubled and drove in three runs for Minnesota.

Houston 4 – TEXAS 3… Kyle Tucker gapped a go-ahead three-run double in the top of the fifth inning to lead the Astros past the Rangers. Cristian Javier (1-0) gave up two runs on four hits over five innings.

L.A. ANGELS 9 – Cleveland 5… The Angels slugged their way past the Guardians for their fourth straight win. Taylor Ward unloaded a grand slam and finished a single shy of the cycle. Shohei Ohtani (2-2) surrendered two runs on five hits over five innings. He helped himself at the plate by going 3-for-4 with an RBI.

INTERLEAGUE
Oakland 1 – SAN FRANCISCO 0… Chad Pinder provided all the offense the Athletics needed with a homer to lead off the game. Paul Blackburn (3-0) limited the Giants to three hits over five innings and five relievers did the rest.
