NATIONAL LEAGUE
Pittsburgh 9 – ST. LOUIS 4… The Pirates erased an early three-run deficit to roll past the Cardinals. Michael Chavis connected for a go-ahead grand slam in the top of the third inning.

Milwaukee 5 – CHI. CUBS 4… Mike Brosseau’s first career pinch-hit homer snapped a seventh-inning tie and the Brewers went on to salvage the finale of their season-opening series with the Cubs. Willy Adames and Rowdy Tellez also went deep.

COLORADO 9 – L.A. Dodgers 4… The Rockies ripped the Dodgers to give Bud Black his 1,000th career win as a major-league manager. C.J. Cron and Elias Díaz hit two-run homers.

SAN FRANCISCO 3 – Miami 2… Mauricio Dubón put the Giants on the board with a game-tying RBI single in the bottom of the second inning and scored on Luke Williams’ single as the Giants held off the Marlins. Wilmer Flores’ sacrifice fly in the third scored Austin Slater with the decisive run.

WASHINGTON 4 – N.Y. Mets 2… Nelson Cruz drilled his 450th home run and added a tie-breaking two-run single during a three-run bottom of the eighth inning to lead the Nationals past the Mets. Lucius Fox, who started in his major league debut, laid down a safety squeeze to score the tying run.

Cincinnati 6 – ATLANTA 3… Kyle Farmer’s two-run single highlighted a five-run top of the third inning and the Reds doubled up on the Braves. Hunter Greene allowed three runs on four hits with seven strikeouts over five innings in his major league debut.

San Diego 10 – ARIZONA 5… Jurickson Profar cracked a grand slam during a five-run top of the second inning to help power the Padres past the Diamondbacks. Jorge Alfaro also went deep.

AMERICAN LEAGUE
Boston 4 – N.Y. YANKEES 3… Bobby Dalbec hit a tie-breaking homer to lead off the top of the sixth inning and the Red Sox made it stand in edging the Yankees. Five Boston relievers blanked New York over the final 5-2/3 innings.

Chi. White Sox 10 – DETROIT 1… Andrew Vaughn homered and drove in four runs to lead the White Sox in their romp over the Tigers. Tim Anderson doubled twice and singled.

TAMPA BAY 8 – Baltimore 0…  Corey Kluber and four relievers combined on the shutout and the Rays completed a sweep of the Orioles. Brandon Lowe smacked a two-run homer. Wander Franco recorded his second three-hit game in three days and drove in a pair of runs.

MINNESOTA 10 – Seattle 4… Gary Sánchez blasted a grand slam and Byron Buxton homered twice in the Twins’ thumping of the Mariners. Carlos Correa, Max Kepler and Jorge Polanco also went deep.

Texas 12 – TORONTO 6… The Rangers came from five runs down to double up on the Blue Jays. Corey Seager stroked a go-ahead single to cap a six-run top of the fourth inning. Brad Miller knocked in four RBIs. Nick Solak homered and scored four times.

Cleveland 17 – KANSAS CITY 3… Oscar Mercado unloaded a grand slam and drove in five runs as the Guardians clobbered the Royals. Owen Miller had a career-high four RBIs. Rookie Steven Kwan went 5-for-5 and scored four runs.

Houston 4 – L.A. ANGELS 1… Alex Bregman’s two-run single in the top of the fifth inning gave the Astros the lead for good in their win over the Angels. Rookie shortstop Jeremy Peña had three hits

INTERLEAGUE
Oakland 4 – PHILADELPHIA 1… Billy McKinney homered, stroked a two-run double and the Athletics downed the Phillies. Tony Kemp went 3-for-5 with a two-run double. Daulton Jefferies and four relievers combined on a three-hitter.
