WASHINGTON 4 – Tampa Bay 3… John Carlson scored two goals and assisted on two others as the Capitals dealt the Lightning their third straight loss. Alex Ovechkin reached 1,400 career points with his 43rd goal of the season. Ilya Samsonov made 25 saves at goal.
Detroit 3 – WINNIPEG 1… Sam Gagner netted a pair of goals to top 500 career points lead the Red Wings past the Jets. Michael Rasmussen scored the tie-breaking goal at 9:11 of the third period. Dylan Larkin had two assists. Goalie Thomas Greiss stopped 32 shots.
Vancouver 5 – VEGAS 1… Elias Pettersson scored two and assisted on two others as the Canucks’ stopped the Golden Knights’ five-game winning streak. Goalie Thatcher Demko stopped 33 shots.
Calgary 4 – ANAHEIM 2… Michael Stone had a goal and an assist in his 500th NHL game and the Flames doubled up on the Ducks. Johnny Gaudreau assisted on two goals. Goalie Jacob Markstrom made 26 stops.
