TORONTO 7 – Winnipeg 3… Auston Matthews scored his NHL-leading 50th goal of the season to highlight the Maple Leafs’ win over the Jets. William Nylander had two power-play goals and an assist. Ilya Mikheyev added a short-handed goal and an assist. Mark Giordano added a goal and an assist.
FLORIDA 4 – Chicago 0… Goalie Sergei Bobrovsky stopped all 37 shots for his third shutout of the season and the Panthers breezed past the Blackhawks. Aleksander Barkov netted two goals. Gustav Forsling had a goal and an assist.
N.Y. ISLANDERS 5 – Columbus 2… Kyle Palmieri scored a go-ahead goal early in the third period and the Islanders put away the Blue Jackets. Mathew Barzal had a goal and an assist. Goalie Semyon Varlamov made 30 saves.
CAROLINA 4 – Montreal 0… Frederik Andersen turned away 32 shots in recording his fourth shutout of the season and the Hurricanes got a pair of goals from Andrei Svechnikov in downing the Canadiens. Sebastian Aho and Teuvo Teravainen each had a goal and an assist. Tony DeAngelo and Jaccob Slavin both assisted on two goals.
Pittsburgh 4 – MINNESOTA 3 (OT)… Evgeni Malkin found the net 3:57 into overtime and the Penguins stopped the Wild’s seven-game winning streak. Rickard Rakell scored twice in regulation. Casey DeSmith made 28 stops at goal.
COLORADO 4 – San Jose 2… Mikko Rantanen scored a tie-breaking power-play goal with 7:43 remaining and the Avalanche held off the Sharks. Goalie Pavel Francouz made 25 stops.
Los Angeles 3 – CALGARY 2 (SO)… Lias Andersson scored the decisive goal in the shootout as the Kings outlasted the Flames. Viktor Arvidsson netted a tying goal with 4:22 left in regulation. Goalie Cal Petersen made 26 saves.
Dallas 3 – ANAHEIM 2 (OT)… Jamie Benn’s goal 53 seconds into overtime and the Stars dealt the Ducks their 11th straight loss. Kevin Shattenkirk scored a tying goal with 3:21 left in regulation.
