CHARLOTTE 106 – New Orleans 103… The Hornets pulled past the Pelicans in the fourth quarter to win their fifth in a row. LaMelo Ball and Terry Rozier scored 17 points apiece to lead a balanced scoring attack. Mason Plumlee had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

L.A. Lakers 131 – CLEVELAND 120…  LeBron James piled up 38 points, 10 boards and 12 assists in leading the Lakers past the Cavaliers. Russell Westbrook and D.J. Augustin added 20 points apiece for L.A.

Portland 119 – DETROIT 115… The Trail Blazers led by as many as 23 points in the third quarter and hung on to top the Pistons to end a four-game losing streak. Brandon Williams scored 23 points and Ben McLemore added 21.

PHILADELPHIA 113 – Miami 106… Tyrese Maxey scored 13 of his 28 points in the fourth quarter as the short-handed 76ers fought off the Heat. Shake Milton added 20 points for Philadelphia.

BROOKLYN 114 – Utah 106… The Nets took control with a big third quarter and coasted past the Jazz. Kevin Durant scored a game-high 37 points. Bruce Brown added 22 points.

CHICAGO 113 – Toronto 99… The Bulls rallied in the second half to upend the Raptors. DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine each scored 26 points. Nikola Vucevic had 19 points and 13 rebounds.

HOUSTON 115 – Washington 97… The Rockets overcame a 23-point first-half deficit to roll past the Wizards. They mounted a 16-0 run spanning the third and fourth quarters to take the lead for good. Christian Wood made eight 3-pointers on his way to 39 points.

Boston 132 – OKLAHOMA CITY 123… The Celtics built a 24-point lead through three quarters and coasted past the Thunder. Jayson Tatum poured in 36 points. Boston also go 25 points from Jaylen Brown and 20 from Grant Williams.

DALLAS 110 – Minnesota 108… The Mavericks held on at the end to edge the Timberwolves in a game that was delayed by a leaky roof. All five starters scored in double figures, led by Dwight Powell’s 22 points. Spencer Dinwiddie added 20 points off the bench. Luka Doncic had 15 points and 10 assists.
