Blues Fall To Senators

Ottawa 4 – ST. LOUIS 1… The Senators cruised past the Blues to snap a five-game losing streak. Tim Stutzle and Josh Norris scored power-play goals. Anton Forsberg made 20 stops at goal.

 

 

NEW JERSEY 5 – Colorado 3… The Devils scored five unanswered goals to erase a three-goal deficit and upend the Avalanche. Nathan Bastian scored a go-ahead power-play goal with 6:56 left. Yegor Sharangovich had a goal and an assist.

PHILADELPHIA 2 – Vegas 1… Oskar Lindblom and Justin Braun scored first-period goals and the Flyers held on to edge the Golden Knights. Goalie Carter Hart made a career-high 47 saves,

Florida 4 – PITTSBURGH 3… Anthony Duclair netted a tie-breaking goal in the second period and Carter Verhaeghe added an insurance score in the third as the Panthers got past the Penguins. Sergei Bobrovsky stopped 32 shots at goal.

TORONTO 6 – Seattle 4… Auston Matthews notched his third hat trick of the season raised his NHL-leading total to 43 goals in the Maple Leafs’ come-from-behind win over the Kraken. Mitch Marner, William Nylander and John Tavares each added a goal and an assist. T.J. Brodie and Michael Bunting had two assists apiece. Goalie Jack Campbell made 26 saves.

Arizona 9 – DETROIT 2… Nick Schmaltz scored two goals and assisted on two others in the Coyotes’ thrashing of the Red Wings. Jakob Chychrun and Nick Ritchie each had two goals and an assist. Barrett Hayton set up four goals. Goalie Karel Vejmelka stopped 26 shots.

NASHVILLE 2 – Dallas 1… Roman Josi found the net with 1:22 remaining to lift the Predators over the Stars. Ryan Johansen also scored the tying goal 5-1/2 minutes earlier. Goalie Juuse Saros made 22 saves.

MINNESOTA 5 – N.Y. Rangers 2… Kevin Fiala scored a pair of second-period goals and the Wild skated past the Rangers. Marcus Foligno added a goal and two assists. Goalie Cam Talbot stopped 23 shots.

WINNIPEG 7 – Tampa Bay 4… The Jets used a four-goal third period to put away the Lightning. Paul Statstny scored two goals. Mark Scheifele had a goal and three assists.

CHICAGO 8 – Anaheim 3… Patrick Kane scored a goal and had five primary assists in the Blackhawks’ romp over the Ducks. Dylan Strome had three goals and an assist. Alex DeBrincat finished with a goal and three assists.

Washington 5 – CALGARY 4…  The Capitals overcame an early two-goal deficit to topple the Flames. Alex Ovechkin scored two goals, including the game-winner, and moved into a tie for third place on the NHL’s career goals list with 766. Goalie Vitek Vanecek made 31 stops.
