NHL SCOREBOARD…
Los Angeles 3 – BUFFALO 0… Goalie Cal Petersen stopped all 19 shots for his second shutout of the season and the Kings breezed past the Sabres. Andreas Athanasiou netted a pair of goals, including the 100th of his career.

NEW JERSEY 3 – St. Louis 2 (OT)… The Devils recovered to outlast the Blues after blowing a two-goal third-period lead. Dougie Hamilton at 1:12 of overtime. Rookie Nico Daws made 19 saves at goal.

Dallas 6 – MINNESOTA 3… Jason Robertson made it back-to-back hat tricks by scoring three goals in the Stars’ win over the Wild. Goalie Jake Oettenger made 32 saves.

CAROLINA 3 – Seattle 2… Martin Necas scored with 9:38 remaining to give the Hurricanes their first lead and they hung on to edge the Kraken. Nino Niederreiter and Teuvo Teravainen scored power-play goals in the second period. Goalie Antti Raanta stopped 28 shots.

Tampa Bay 6 – CHICAGO 3… Victor Hedman netted two goals as the Lightning doubled up on the Blackhawks. Hedman, Corey Perry and Mikhail Sergachev closed Tampa Bay’s scoring with three goals in a 32-second span of the third period. Sergachev also assisted on two goals. Goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy made 24 saves in notching his league-leading 30th victory of the season.

N.Y. Rangers 4 – WINNIPEG 1…  The Rangers got a pair of goals from Chris Kreider in cruising past the Jets. Artemi Panarin and Jacob Trouba each had two assists. Igor Shesterkin stopped 45 shots at goal.

VEGAS 2 – Ottawa 1… Jack Eichel’s power-play goal with 5.2 seconds remaining lifted the Golden Knights over the Senators. Jonathan Marchessault also scored for Vegas. Goalie Robin Lehner made 39 stops.

Anaheim 3 – SAN JOSE 2 (OT)… Rickard Rakell lit the lamp 14 seconds into overtime to send the Ducks past the Sharks. Adam Henrique scored a goal and set up another. Anthony Stolarz made 20 saves at goal.
