Tigers Stumble At Districts

The Kirksville Tigers season came to an abrupt end Wednesday in the District semifinals, losing to Macon 42-35. The Tigers were plagued by three problems, Macon slowed down the tempo from the beginning, the Tigers were cold from the field, and were massively outrebounded by Macon. Macon led by 10 in the third quarter. KHS tried to rally but fell short 42-35. Isaac Danielson led the Tigers with 9 points, and went 7 out of 10 at the free throw line. Cole Kelly had 8 points, and Keaton Anderson finished with 7. Boston Douglas led all scorers with 11, Maurice Magruder with 10. Kirksville ends the season with a record of 19-5, and will welcome back many underclassmen next season. Macon will play Mexico for the district championship Saturday. Mexico beat Centralia 51-36.
