Blues Shut Out Blackhawks

St. Louis 4 – CHICAGO 0… Jordan Binnington made 30 saves in his second shutout of the season and the Blues breezed past the Blackhawks for their fourth straight win. David Perron found the net twice. Brayden Schenn set up two goals.

 

 

Vancouver 5 – N.Y. RANGERS 2… The Canucks made it five wins in six games with their defeat of the Rangers. Matthew Highmore and Tyler Myers each had a goal and an assist. J.T. Miller set up two goals. Goalie Thatcher Demko made 31 saves.

N.Y. Islanders 4 – ANAHEIM 0… Ilya Sorokin made 34 saves for his fifth shutout of the season as the Islanders cruised past the Ducks. Casey Cizikas had a goal and an assist.

CAROLINA 2 – Edmonton 1… The Hurricanes scored the first two goals and held off the Oilers for their fifth straight win. Teuvo Teravainen opened the scoring midway through the first period and assisted on Sebastian Aho’s goal five minutes later. Andrei Svechnikov got assists on both goals. Frederik Andersen made 29 saves at goal for his league-leading 29th victory.

DALLAS 4 – Buffalo 2… Michael Raffl netted a pair of goals to send the Stars past the Sabres. Goalie Jake Oettinger stopped 38 shots.

Winnipeg 5 – ARIZONA 3… The Jets rallied from a goal down in the third period to upend the Coyotes. Kyle Connor scored a pair of goals to key the comeback. Nick Ritchie had a goal and an assist. Eric Comrie made 27 saves at goal.

Pittsburgh 3 – COLUMBUS 2… Sidney Crosby scored a tie-breaking goal with 2:14 remaining and the Penguins held on to edge the Blue Jackets. Evgeni Malkin’s power-play goal tied the game with 8:06 left. Bryan Rust assisted on two goals. Goalie Casey DeSmith made 32 saves.

SAN JOSE 3 – Seattle 1… The Sharks scored a goal in each period to get past the Kraken. Ryan Dzingel, Scott Reedy and Jonah Gadjovich found the net. James Reimer made 39 saves at goal.
