TAMPA BAY 5 – Edmonton 3… The Lightning returned from a seven-day break and skated past the Oilers. Pat Maroon had a goal and an assist. Corey Perry became the 103rd NHL player to reach 400 goals. Goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped 27 shots.
DALLAS 3 – Winnipeg 2 (OT)… Tyler Seguin scored 54 seconds into overtime on a play that required a review and the Stars outlasted the Jets. Seguin also assisted on Denis Gurianov’s tying goal with 6:25 left in regulation.
Colorado 5 – DETROIT 2… Gabriel Landeskog found the net 1:12 into the game and capped the scoring with an empty-netter as the Avalanche downed the Red Wings for the eighth straight time. Goalie Pavel Francouz made 31 saves.
MONTREAL 4 – Buffalo 0… Goalie Samuel Montembeault stopped all 32 shots for his first NHL shutout and the Canadiens blanked the Sabres for their fourth straight win. Nick Suzuki’s second goal of the game came on a penalty shot. Cole Caufield had a goal and an assist.
Los Angeles 3 – ARIZONA 2… Viktor Arvidsson scored his second boal of the game to break a tie with 3:39 remaining and the Kings held on to edge the Coyotes. Trevor Moore set up two goals.
