The Kirksville Lady Tigers bounced back in a big way Friday with a dominating 63-20 win over Fulton Friday. In the first home game in a month, KHS started off rather cold, but caught fire in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. Kirksville outscored Fulton 21-9 in the 2nd and 21-5 in the 3rd. Corinne Vorkink led all scorers with 18 points, ten of those in the third quarter before she was pulled midway through the period for the remainder of the night. Channing Totta was right behind her with 17 points. The Lady Tiger defense forced 22 Fulton turnovers, compared to just 13 of their own. Fulton freshman Kiah Pittman scored 15 of Fulton’s 20 points. KHS climbs to 17-3 overall, 6-2 in the conference. Next, KHS is scheduled to travel to Chillicothe Thursday, weather permitting. Before that, the District seeding meeting is Wednesday and KHS is almost assured of at least a #2 seed and a first round bye.
