Judith Ann Woods, 68 of Brookfield, MO passed away Monday (January 31st, 2022) at the Life Care Center in Brookfield. The daughter of Harry and Alberta (Gregory) James, she was born March 17th, 1953 in Kirksville, MO.
Judith is survived by her sons, Jerry Woods and wife Cassie and Mark Woods and wife Sam; daughters, Barbara Reed and Kelli Featherston and husband Justin; sisters, Cindy Brush and husband Brian and Linda Megrath and husband Ed; grandchildren, Monica Woods and fiancé Kyle Hawk, Ryley Knisley and fiancé Megan Haines, Grant Woods, Iva Woods, Justin Reed, Dominick Reed, Kambria Reed, Colton Reed, Abrigh Reed, Heather Sayre and husband Chad, Shawn Roder-Woods, Marcus Clark-Woods, Joshua Woods, Kyrie Featherston and Kyler Featherston; great grandchildren, Braxton, Haizlee and Aaliyah Hawk and Axel Haines.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, James Woods and Travis Woods, two great grandchildren, Kathryn Sayre and David Sayre and sister, Penny James.
Judith grew up in Kirksville before moving to Memphis where she was raised on the farm. She graduated from Scotland County High School in 1971. After marriage, she moved to Galesburg, IL for a few years before moving back to the Kirksville area. She worked at the Florsheim shoe factory for many years before going back to school to be an LPN, graduating in 2007. Judith liked to crochet, sew, playing the piano and attending church. She was a member of the First Liberty Full Gospel church. She also loved her grandkids and spending time with her family.
The Visitation will be Saturday, February 5th, 2022 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. with the Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Davis-Playle-Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home with Reverend Fred Baker officiating.
