The University of Southern Indiana used a first quarter buzzsaw then strong free throw shooting down the stretch to end Truman State’s 10-game winning streak 78-66 on Thursday night in Pershing Arena.
The Screaming Eagles (13-3; 7-1 GLVC) jumped out to an early 16-4 lead and were aided by eight Bulldog turnovers and 1-of-9 early shooting.
Truman will look to regroup and start a new streak when they host McKendree on Saturday in Pershing Arena. Scheduled tip off time is 1 p.m.
