The Kirksville Tigers couldn’t protect a 15 point halftime lead and lost to the ultra-talented Mexico Bulldogs 64-54 in the Macon Tournament championship game Saturday. The Bulldogs forced 11 turnovers and cashed in as Jordan Shelton scored 13 of his 19 points in the second half. Cole Kelly scored 22 for KHS, Isaac Danielson was named to the all-tourney team, and finished with 19. The other Tigers on the all-tournament team were Keaton Anderson and Drew Chrisman. The Tigers fall to 14-2 and will be part two of Tuesday’s double header at Hannibal.
